Been having this issue for a while and it's making the game almost unplayable. Every few seconds, my game freezes from anywhere from 1-10 seconds at a time. I'm assuming it has something to do with Source games, because the same thing happened in CS:GO when I tried it and nothing happened in Quake Live.

The freezing happens both offline and online, no noticeable difference in time or amount of times either. Ran malwarebytes and that didn't help, cleared config and that didn't make a difference, open to any idea pretty much. For what it's worth, the more I play the more frequent the freezing seems to happen. Starts off fine, maybe a stutter here or there, but it just gradually gets worse until it freezes completely and I have to DC. Thanks.

EDIT: I think the issue is fixed. For anyone with a similar problem, what fixed it for me was cleaning my computer. Ton of dust built up inside, now I don't hear it working its ass off whenever I try and play.

HP Pavilion p6-2136, everything should be found here

yttriumtemps (Core Temp)? CPU load?

Without TF2 running: Goes from 55-60 degrees C, load 10-20% in all except Freq #1 which is usually around 30-35%.

With TF2 running: Roughly 67-68 degrees C, load usually anywhere from 40-70% in each core, during freezes it drops so none are over 50% usually, with most in the 20-30% range. Temperature doesn't change significantly during freezes.

yttriumGPU temps? use Afterburner or something

Without TF2 running: Same as CPU temp, goes from 55-60 degrees C

With TF2 running: 67-70 degrees C, GPU usage would shoot down to 0 during freezes, game was barely playable until hl2.exe stopped working.
