Do any competitive TF2 players use closed captioning? If so does it help your game out at all?

I would imagine by using it, tracking ubers and finding out when enemy medics call would be a lot easier.

I don't think they actually work for TF2. I usually turn on "full captions" for every Source game I've ever played, and I'm pretty sure I turned them on for TF2 as well, but nothing's ever appeared.

I use a closed captions version. It helps sometimes, but most of the time I'm too distracted to see it.

Probably only helpful when you're listening to music or not wearing headphones.
