oh come on you guys, pure's not an bipolar egomaniac! that's ridiculous! the only reason any team he has ever been on has achieved success is because he is a tf2 strategy mastermind - his teammates being literally the best players at their respective classes had literally nothing to do with it. just reading this pastebin has given me a greater appreciation for his mastery of the tf2 metagame. leaving a player at last when you're pushing out? i mean, i always thought you could just cover all the entrances and have your whole team push out, but that's just silly! i was also stunned at the epiphany he had when ringing for tyrone's team - who knew that on a decent team, your demo doesn't even have to watch the flank! i'm so glad he is applying his diamond of a brain to the demoman class now. i can't wait to see what he has in store for us. i think he's already better than b4nny, and i think you'll all agree with me after this season

Are there really people out there who try to safeguard their tf2 strategies as some sort of assurance that this means they're better than everyone else? Like who the fuck is so concerned about winning a video game league with a payout less than the cost of a month's rent in the projects

can we not badmouth pure and talk down to him until we know he said this? i mean, this is a random pastebin coming from someone who is not on the team. don't create drama when it's not there.

agreed, if you know pyyour at all and have watched his stream you would know that this sounds nothing like pyyour. i wouldn't expect any of these thoughts to come from his mind.

here's a lesson that will serve you well for the future folks

if you go on pastebin dot com and you make a new paste, there are four options that you probably never look at. the second and third options are PASTE EXPIRATION and PASTE EXPOSURE.

you can make your pastebin logs unlisted i.e. they don't show up in the search engine! if you register, you can password protect them. if you don't even want to risk it being seen by eyes of others, you can set the paste to expire after a certain amount of time

or you can just use freetexthost.com and not have to worry about having a site with a collection of searchable archived chatlogs

I don't know if it's just me, but I think that it is reasonable to have secret strategies that you use to win the game. Not letting your opponents know your strategy during a match will probably help you win the match.

It might not make much of a difference in Open, and I've never played in invite so I can't say for myself, but it seemed that part of what made Mihaly's Flow successful was the fact that they were a hard team to read and you never really knew what you were going to be playing against. Publicly streaming every single scrim probably works against using those strategies.

It's like the NFL letting coaches listen in on what other coaches say during a game. Not super important, but it can still give you a competitive advantage.

People like to win; wanting to win and planning to make that happen is how they got to invite to begin with. I really doubt the prize money has much or anything to do with it.
