Transparent Viewmodels brings blur?

I have been trying forever to get it to work. Fortunently It did end up working.... Except it brings a whole new layer of blur into the game. I'm aware that I'm not the only one facing this problem, but none ever has found a solution. I would like to know how to edit the files for less opacity. Maybe it could be also my autoexec . Hit me & Help?

you have to have motion blur on for transparent viewmodels to work.

mat_motion_blur_enabled 1 //afaik the only sure-fire way to keep refract masking on
mat_motion_blur_strength 0 //effectively disables motion blur, personal choice + motion blur gets masked and looks bad with refract masking

Ah sorry for the late response, I did quote out the CFG and replaced the commands with it, but its still extremly blurry for me and aiming is a hazard.

As far as I remember that's a byproduct of the method used to get transparent viewmodels. Kind of a shame :/

Is there really no way to bypass it? I see it makes peoples games a bit more blurry, but mine looks like if its covered in creamefreche.

I'm not sure if it's different on Mac or Linux, but on windows at least transparent viewmodels (or refracts in general) should only give a ~0.5px blur. If you're getting anything significant then it'd probably have to be something else.

Have a screenshot of the issue?

Pretty sure they're illegal and won't work in comp cfgs. I for one wouldn't want to practice with that and get used to it just to have it not work for comp. We had the same stuff in tfc and it definitely helps but even that ended up getting banned.

They're perfectly legal, I used them for a full season a while back.

It might not look that much blurry from here on. Is actually x5 more blurry than the current one and aiming has become one of the most difficult things to do (apart that im already bad at it)
Im trying to use a camera or an external cam to take a picture of my monitor....
