Account Details Belonging to Someone Else

Every time I try to view my account details it gives me someone else's account, sometimes from different countries changing my language setting. I can see personal details of all kinds...

Seems that Valve has shut it all down in response. e; nvm seems to be back for now

I don't seem to be the only one

Steam code has gone spaghetti

Don't touch anything on steam and I think you should be fine

Idk if it's alright to continue playing games though

I assume its mixing up caches when people are loading, so if you don't update it by using steam, you wont get leaked?

Basically don't fucking touch anything remotely related to steam and reloading a page. I assume chat is fine since it doesn't actually forward your profile data anywhere(?). I'm surprised they didn't just pull down the servers, considering how often they're broken anyway lol

Do NOT attempt to unlink PayPal, remove your credit card details or anything else. Doing so will put you at risk instead.

So should I just sign out of Steam completely or should I just not visit the Steam store page? I don't want somebody from across the world screwing around in my steam account buying games with my credit card.

You should be fine as long as you don't touch anything on the steam client. And don't click on any steam links as well

I did try to log into my account several times before I realised what's going on. However, I have a mobile authenticator. Should I worry about anything and change my password?

As long as you don't send any requests to steam (the community and store pages), there's nothing to be caught and redirected to anyone else. They also shut down the store now, so unless you saw someone else's account in your own steam browser, you haven't sent anything for someone else to open.

If anyone were to try to buy or use your info, they'd get a new account in each of the 4-5 steps it takes to buy a game. If they happened to be in your wallet info, they'd have your name, email and last 4 digits of your card. I've never used paypal but I recall you needing to log onto paypal's own website with each purchase? Considering this wasn't a leak but a browser-cache error, people won't ~magically~ have access to anything else but the aforementioned info, since it's all you can see in the browser.

If you haven't seen another account on your end, nobody has seen yours (afaik).

Once again, unlinking your PayPal account from Steam via the PayPal site alone is fine. Unlinking through Steam is NOT.
