op, if you like this, I'd strongly recommend you try Primordial

For a slightly more polarizing band, you could try Pallbearer (reminds heavily of Warning).

How has no one posted any Tesseract yet?

Both Daniel Tompkins and Ashe O'Hara are amazing singers.

Jeez thanks everyone, there is lots of great stuff in here.

rAz3Ronnie James Dio, Priest

I'm familiar with Dio. He definitely has some great range and such but there's just something I don't like about his voice. Hard to explain I guess. The Judas Priest stuff is pretty cool.

StaleWaffleSerj

This is the only solo Serj I know actually, but I have been a mild System fan for a long time. Aerials is a killer tune.

capnfapnDanzig

Haven't heard this song since I last played Guitar Hero II like 6+ years ago or something rofl. Pretty solid.

DanceNumberI was gonna post Bruce, but then i read your post...

seen maiden live twice. both times are events that i would consider landmarks in my life.

I envy you :( Easily my favourite band

Various PeoplePeriphery, Protest the Hero, Bishop of Hexen

Don't get me wrong, these singers are very talented, but I'm not into this kind of metal :(

WaldoRhapsody

This is pretty sweet, I'll need to get some more of this. Reminds me of Falconer.

SpaceCadetManOwaR

This singing is awesome, the guitars and drums are slightly unimpressive loool. I'll prob check out more.

chftMany bands

Powerwolf: Pretty sweet, I'll check out more. I like how it's not insanely complicated but sounds good (also, organist!!)
Kamelot: I can dig this
Edguy: Fat
Nightwish: I'll probably look into more. Brings Evanescence to mind
Primal Fear: Definitely look into this
Epica: I have heard this before. Hearing it again makes me want to find more
Scar Symmetry: Pretty solid stuff, I am not a huge fan of deep screaming type singing, but the lead singer is pretty good.
Xandria: Excellent stuff, although I don't particularly like the choir bits. Loads of talent though

OsirisAlso Bruce

Brave New World is so far my favourite album of theirs, Thin Line is amazing. I did know about the new album, haven't checked any out yet.
I do not understand how people can listen to this and not appreciate it. His vocals are absolutely mind blowing.

Falcon0408Some bands

Hammerfall: Not bad, not bad.. His voice is a little high but I'll probably look into more
Rhapsody: Had some earlier, definitely gonna have to get more
Fariyland: Sounds awesome. The keyboard solo Krey
Sonata Arctica: Prob will check them out
Edguy: Definitely will find more from these guys

VortexCrimson Glory

Unreal stuff

-sqNightwish

Yeah this is pretty good stuff, the more powerful the voice the better tho

ForefatherLike 500 songs

I'll try to look in to all of these eventually, but being a student, the 2-3 hours it took to go through everything above already is stressing me out a bit :(
