Hi,

It's pretty well known that performance post-gun mettle has been pretty shit. I'm aware that I'm certainly not the first to make a post like this, however, even after browsing through dozens of threads, I've yet to be able to fix my problem. Pre-gun mettle, I got a mostly consistent ~100-130, ever since the update I average from ~50-180 (These are rough approximations from dx9). This is most noticeable because I get significant input lag when I drop to below a certain refresh rate (between 60-90?). I've tried running dx8, and while performance is significantly better,(90-180 frames while playing, like 300+ while jumping or something) I feel as though the game is sort of slow/ muddy (possibly a placebo, I don't know). Below is some info regarding my setup and some steps I've taken in an attempt to fix my problem:

- I use a slightly modified version of Comanglias config (can be provided if necessary)
- All setting are on low, except for textures (mat_picmip -1)
-I play on a laptop (specs:)
8gb ram
Nvidia 630m 1gb
Intel i7 3537u
- I have no fps cap
- I use two fans (one laptop, one regular) to ensure my pc doesn't overheat (haven't actually checked if it effectively cools it, but it seems to)
- I run tf2 on high cpu priority in 1280 * 720 res, I also close most external programs before playing

If there's anything I may have left out, I encourage you to tell me and I'll do my best to supply an answer

Nope, sounds about right.

I'm sorry for saying it, but it really has gotten bad and there's nothing you can do. Laggyness might be from not using fullscreen or by using vsync, but otherwise, that's about average post Mettle.

Oh yeah and don't benchmark on suijin. That map is the worst in the world for performance. Dear lord I get more frames in SFM than I do on suijin. And I don't just mean per second, I mean more frames period.

There's suppose to be an update in the upcoming weeks that will fix these performance issues.

edit: got ninja'd
