ndustAnother treat for my fellow dentists

http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=LMvyYvEP <-- scoreboard.res

I don't suppose there's a way I could line up the blu players to the right side and everything else so that it would mirror the red players' info... is there?

Wow, I really like the edit you did here.

Do you mean flipping ping, score, class, name, etc.? To my knowledge, there's not a way to do this, as it's all a part of the same entity. Thanks for your hard work, though!

I really like that scoreboard for medic. Is there an easy way to switch between scoreboards? iirc broesels or PVHud had a button on the main menu

You mean switch his custom scoreboard with my regular 6s one? Not without completely switching files.

If you mean his 6s scoreboard and my 16v16 scoreboard, that may be doable, assuming his set up his scoreboard to only be active when minmode is toggled.

If you're just talking about toggling my 6s and 16v16 scoreboards, that can either be done by binding a key to toggle minmode, or hitting the button that's on the main menu (as of version 2.72).

Version 2.9 is out.

It contains:
-Custom build/destroy menus (including Pipboy!).
-Changing of the respawn timer color in the tournament spectator hud, to make it stand out more.
-A few padding errors on the tournament spectator hud.
-Fixed team names getting cut off in the winpanel.

You can get it here:

https://github.com/downloads/raysfire/rayshud/rayshudv29.zip

Screenshots of the new build/destroy menus:

Default:

http://puu.sh/1mu2F

http://puu.sh/1mu2W

Pipboy:

http://puu.sh/1mu3I

http://puu.sh/1mu3P

Anyways, this should end my reign of updates every two days. At this point, everything should be added into the game for it to be functioning properly. If you have any issues or need help, you're welcome to continue posting here. I'll probably be updating it periodically as I find more small errors, but for the most part, it's completely finished.

I may make a minmode version in a few weeks as people have asked for that, and it seems like it'd be a fun project, and of course, I'll make sure to keep this thing updated after every update.

Anyways, a big thanks to all of you for supporting me, and helping me work out the bugs.

<3 you all.

Sorry, I lied.

Version 2.91 is out.

It contains:
-A fix for the concise disguise menu.

You can get it here:

https://github.com/downloads/raysfire/rayshud/rayshudv291.zip

It was really bugging me, so I messed with it enough until I fixed it.

Thanks guys. :D

I plan on fixing a few more things and getting it ready for another update soon.

Once I finish a few more arena elements, you can expect a minmode version to come out eventually.

Hey guys, I made a rayshud installer.

Download: *old*

It's the first thing I have ever written in C# so I bet it has some bugs. If it's having any strange behavior, post here with what you were doing that caused it. Instructions are in the README file.

Thanks,

Hey Rays, so I just wanted to try out some of the custom crosshairs associated with your HUD, and when enabled, the circle is off center by a couple pixels (and when I modify xpos and ypos I can't get it perfectly center, and the figher pilot shit is like 200px off to the right. Sorry if this has been addressed already, but I couldn't seem to figure out how to get them centered on 1024x768.

I can take a screenshot if need be.

Thanks.

If you can't get it perfectly centered by adjusting xpos/ypos, try adjusting the width/height values for smaller changes.

As far as the fighter pilot crosshair goes, it only works on 16:9 resolutions. I'm sorry about this, I wasn't aware that it was made only for this resolution when I added it in. Fortunately, I have the proper code to add in support for the crosshair on 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions, so you can look for that in my next update.

I got some more free time, and got more done on the rayshud installer/updater. It now has a crosshair picker. I excluded the thincross and crazy full screen fighter pilot crosshairs because they were causing problems, hopefully they will be included soon.

It's important to note that these crosshairs should be centered on a 1920x1080 screen, but on other size they might not be. I will hopefully add a resolution selection thing and try and make them centered on more resolutions.

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused a crash when update was hit multiple times in a row.
- Fixed a bug that caused a windows error to occur when closing the updater.

TechniikRays, my HUD, pls.

A quick reinstall should fix it. I posted this in my steam group an hour or so ago, so you can read it for more details:

Just reinstall the most current version of my hud, and it should fix it.

If you happen to have edited my hud to your own liking and don't want to reinstall the whole hud and have to edit again, the only file Valve deleted was "HudWeaponAmmo", so just reinstalling that specific file should preserve any other changes.

___

In valve's most recent update, they did something that messed with the ammo positioning for the default hud. Thus when you downloaded the update, the game took the custom ammo file I made and replaced it with it's default. They didn't change anything else major though, so that means by simply reinstalling the hud, the file is replaced and it should be working again.

If you ever have this issue again with any updates, try to reinstall the hud first before contacting me for help. If it's still messed up, I can help from there.

If you're not already in the Steam group, you should join it for up-to-date updates:

Yeah, sorry, I believe that there's something up with the hud installer right now.

If you'd like to change the color yourself, open up "hudlayout.res" in your tf/scripts folder, find the name of the crosshair you want to enable, and change it's visible/enabled values from "0" to "1", and it's fgcolor to "255 255 0 255" for the color yellow.

I think a valve update reset the ClientScheme.res file, which defines all the fonts. That's why it was so broken. Glad it didn't require any serious updates, though!

HOW TO INSTALL MINMODE

Until Tree updates his installer (which hopefully shouldn't be too long), the only way to install the minmode version of the hud is manually.

To do this, just copy all of the folders inside of the "minmode" folder, and paste them into your tf folder. It's essentially the same as installing the hud normally, the only extra step is making sure that the files you copy over are the ones in the "minmode" folder and not the root directory.

Remember that if you're a 4x3 user to copy those files in the "4_by_3_ratio" folder and paste them into your tf/resource/ui folder!

EDIT: The installer now works. You're still welcome to install it manually, but the installer may be faster.

Also, if you previously were using the normal version and were wondering whether or not minmode sacrifices your ability to toggle the scoreboard, the answer is no. I personally enjoy the scoreboard toggle, so I wanted to make it available regardless of what version of the hud you use. The only downside to this is that I was forced to make essentially two different huds; but I don't think it was that big of a deal.

Again, if you have any questions/complaints/comments, you're free to yell at me. Thanks again for checking out my hud. :3

EDIT: The installer should be good to go. Here's a quote from Tree (featuring the download link).

TreeRayshud installer updated to have a checkbox if you want rays sweet new minmode version of the hud. I did very little testing, it will probably destroy the whole planet.
