I just built my computer and I ended up installing via USB. It's really easy and actually a bit quicker (seemingly) than via dvd.

Sorry if this has been addressed already, but I couldn't seem to figure out how to get them centered on 1024x768.

If you can't get it perfectly centered by adjusting xpos/ypos, try adjusting the width/height values for smaller changes.

As far as the fighter pilot crosshair goes, it only works on 16:9 resolutions. I'm sorry about this, I wasn't aware that it was made only for this resolution when I added it in. Fortunately, I have the proper code to add in support for the crosshair on 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions, so you can look for that in my next update.

Oh okay, I figured, because it didn't seem to work when I tried it on a different 16:10 monitor. Thanks anyway, love the hud :D

NeoRussiaIn order to let people make custom map textures with sv_pure, valve will have to enable filtering only on the material properties files and not texture files but block lines such as opacity and individual face properties. I guess it's possible if they really wanted it to be, but it might take a lot of effort.

That, and the fact that Valve doesn't really care much about giving out updates tailored for the competitive community (as I don't think that your average pubber would care/want/know about this).

A big issue with CRTs that I've noticed is size and brightness. The colors are less clear and bright when I'm on a CRT (which isn't a HUGE deal, it's just a minor thing) and I have this huge fucking box sitting in front of me which means I need a bigger desk or I need to sit further back. Just minor issues which cause me to prefer a LCD. But cost can easily make a CRT more worth it.

Why do people ask which is better? If one was better than the other, everyone would use it. Its that simple.

People don't understand there's a tradeoff. Being able to spam around corners, close-range rockets, are different, but it's also dependent on the item server and what you're used to.

Lord_DrollMoronixLOL. I downloaded a wall hack to help with casting. Is that serious? That is the stupidest shit I've ever heard. It starts with the "I've never hacked my account was stolen and then vac banned". And then as people berate him constantly, he stiffens a little bit, seeing no way the community will let this fly by. he tries to pass off a wallhack as something that's good for growing the game for casting.

If it wasn't obvious, the first thing someone would do who had maybe a quarter of a brain at all would come in with some lame excuse about their account was stolen instantly. The faster they let you know, the faster everyone could forgive them and move on. However, it obviously wasn't fully thought out, and while he could have easily explained that his account was stolen a months ago, he simply goes on to state how his account was stolen and whoever stole it must of been cheating. But he overlooks the fact that vac bans are delayed, and when this is brought to his attention he tries to carry on the story that his account was stolen. Surely if he changes his story at this point it would question the legitimacy of it. I'm not a hacker, seriously. I've called out tons of people on hacking before, why would I be the type to hack?This is simply a way of bringing attention to other people to take the attention away from himself.

After being caught, he feels so remorseful that he might be ostracized that he is desperately pleading the tf2 community to believe him without saying anything worthy of such a plea or complying to any demands requested. Ah, but if he has his butt buddy Lord_Droll defend him over the forums surely that would help. Unfortunately, Lord_Droll (who is this guy anyway???) shows signs of serious mental retardation and consequently this serves to hurt his reputation more than help.

But it's okay guys, he's not a legitimate hacker. He only tried to use the wall hack for casting, wait what? Why would you need to use a wall hack to cast games? There isn't any reason. When you say lie about something so much and then say "I'm not a legit hacker guys" after you've already lied to everyone, you've already lost your credibility.
