I like the sound of the two new songs a lot, hoping the album has that vibe.

No dislike for Lil Wayne, I'm just curious and a bit surprised about it, mostly excited about Q though.

This sounds good. Gonna give the music video a listen when I get home. I've never listened to much of Tyler before, I'll form an opinion once I've given the album a listen.

So I've listened to the album a couple times already. I think it's really solid, I don't dislike any of the songs.

Favorites would be

Smuckers (really liked the Kanye and Wayne feature)
The Brown stains
Cherry Bomb
and Pilot.

What do y'all like the most?

tyler's intentional poor mixing detracts from the album a lot for me, the songs with good mixing are much more enjoyable

This is the first hip hop release of the year that I haven't been particularly into. I don't think it was bad, but I'm not rushing to listen to it again anytime soon.

Deathcamp was a really great way to start the album in my opinion, The electric guitar and the sample of the screaming was so exhilarating; just reminded me of the old tyler on bastard. I didnt really have a proper thought on Buffalo, just seemed hollow lyrically with basic instrumentals but has a great metaphorical reference saying that you should flap your wings which obviously means do whatever you want and be a leader and not a follower. Run was to sparse for me to make an opinion, just sounded like tyler rambling on about nothing, The instrumentals were all over the place and the song lyrically was lacking. Find Your Wings starts off with this smooth jazz taste and almost elevator music but sooner gets complemented with vocals from tyler and kali uchis which i found very relaxing, reminding me of the song answer on Wolf with the smooth vocals. Cherry bomb is the 6th track on this album and we mix things up, Overwhelming instrumentals that are so hardcore, i would think this would suit one of their concerts best because of all the hardcore instrumentals and yelling, completely changing the course in which i thought the album was going with the smooth jazz setting with abit of rock influence. Blow my load from what i assume was heading in the direction of R&B, he starts talking about how the pussy is tight like door hinges which i found really funny. I didnt feel like the kissing sound effect in the middle of the song was necessary at all, just seemed off putting and random, 2Seater is the sequel to the song Bimmer in the Wolf album, The saxophone really resinated in my mind because of how catchy it was. The brown stain of darkeese had this kind of ifhy vibe where you just transition from slow to fast and vice versa, the instrumental seems like a mosquito crying, i have mix thoughts on the instrumental, schoolboy goes hard as fuck and at certain parts reminded me of domo genesis. And now we arrive on Fucking Young which i think is one of the best songs on this album, the back up vocals from charlie wilson sounds alot like pharrel which is a great thing, at the beginning of the song tyler sings and he admits that he cant sing but it really paid off. The message of the song is that tyler is in love with this girl thats not of age and he ignores her calls and tries to plaster the message into her brain that shes too young. Perfect comes right after fucking young and has this colourful sound and continues with the story line that tyler shouldnt date her but its from the females perspective, she recognizes that shes too young and she'll ease up til shes legal. the first part of Smuckers talks about how he doesnt like rapping and hes not in it for the money, I didnt enjoy kanye wests singing, felt empty and redundant, Kanye raps about how he doesnt care if people hate him or not, hes going to do his own thing and later talks about how successful he is with his sponsors and how he makes mistakes, Lil Wayne raps about how he eats pussy and takes everything down like the domino effect and plays on the word domino by saying no pepperoni (which i assume means no baloney ,which is a type of meat similar to pepperoni). Keep Da O's had that typical OF lyrical substance, talking about weed, money, clothing and floozy women. The back up vocals from pharrel felt kind of weak and the singing from tyler didnt help. But this whole album is based around the idea of "Find your wings" which is constantly getting referenced song after song. to sum this album up, i felt it to be mediocre, I went into this album with high expectations that were not for filled, I think he grew artistically from when we last heard from him on the wolf album, he took this album very seriously in comparison to some of their older albums which would be the maturity im guessing?.

SONGS THAT I ENJOYED

Deathcamp
Pilot
Find your wings
Fucking young/Perfect
Keep da o's

rate this album 7.5/10

Cherry Bomb was awful. You can say whatever you want about how "the terrible mixing was intentional" but if what he was aiming for with it was to completely bore me with the extreme distortion on the beats as an attempt to make an experimental hiphop melody and have it completely suffocate whatever vocal delivery he had, kudos.
I do appreciate him trying to do new stuff, but really disappointing stuff.
Hopefully Clipping will release something new this year.
