I'm trying to get the konrwings crosshair to overlap perfectly with the "none" crosshair at 4:3 1024x768. People have said to change the tall value in clientscheme.res but it doesnt change the crosshair at all in game when I type hud_reloadscheme in console.

This is what I have right now: http://imgur.com/hGhW0cg

If you're still having difficulties you could check out the hud crosshair guide on huds.tf for more info as well.

Also, be aware that hud crosshairs might not align perfectly in certain resolutions.

komorebiIf you're still having difficulties you could check out the hud crosshair guide on huds.tf for more info as well.

to test with a bunch of different font sizes in clientscheme.res without restarting my game, do i just change the code in hudlayout.res to CrossHairKonrWings20 for example if i name the corresponding code in clientscheme.res CrossHairKonrWings20 with tall "20"? then i can do hud_reloadscheme everytime i change the size?

Voldymortthanks for all of your guys's help i finally got the crosshair aligned. now to get it to toggle with classes :P

Sorry, not possible if you're using a cross hair in your HUD, unless you wipe out your minmode and exploit minmode to change between two cross hair settings, but even then you can only have two sets of options.

Welcome to the struggle that is getting custom cross hairs accepted in the default sv_pure config.

are you sure about that? i got it working using the achievement tracker method i found from here: http://teamfortress.tv/thread/4134/how-to-use-multiple-hud-crosshairs

although i havent tested it on an actual valve or community server yet, it works perfectly on an offline bot server

While an interesting workaround, it has the same limitations as minmode. In fact, it has more - it means your second set of options HAS to have the crosshair be disabled. It only has the improvement of no freeze; it still has the same downsides as minmode, and adds its own limitation too.

He can't change crosshair per-class that way.

yea thats all i wanted though, to have the hud crosshair for only scout and regular crosshairs already in tf2 for every other class. so it all works fine for me.

If you're okay sacrificing your achievement overlay for that, and only having that one crosshair for one class, then by all means.
