Maybe we can come together and make a youtube channel where people upload povs of matches/scrims? We had one but the channel died

It seems like a good idea. why not? Does anyone get to upload their POV or are there some set of rules?

oh. Just remembered there is already something going on like this.
http://www.igmdb.org/?page=render

You upload your demo there and it gets rendered and uploaded to this channel www.youtube.com/user/GamingMovieDbTF2/videos

Requires minimal effort and you get a really good quality.

Thread in Etf2l
http://etf2l.org/forum/movie/topic-30540/

Edit:

However, there are some drawbacks:
* Because it is so easy to get your video out there, there is a high risk of bad content;
* I don't know if anyone is administrating the channel;
* the hud could use some editing;
* the graphics could use some fine tuning;
* It seems the channel isn't dedicated to scrim/match POVs only.

If you can get the support of high level players to record their mumble comms and give you their POV demo then should be ok. But that can be a bit of effort. So it would ultimately depend on who you could get to give you their demos.

I think that happens when somebody uploads an STV demo.

I mentioned this in the mad men vs street hoops match thread but I might as well post it here

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCltY237ilNAEz1C6xkj2MEw

Going to be uploading my POVs from each of my matches this season as long as my team continues to be ok with it. Started this a little late so unfortunately I didn't record my POV against eLevate on snakewater but both process matches are up, and more matches to come as the season continues.

I'm down to do something like this. I think a good mix of invite, im and the top few teams of open would be good to get povs from. The only difficult part is getting povs and mumble recordings from players. I'd only upload games that aren't 5-0's. I'll need suggestions for what hud to use. I just got a 500gb ssd so I'll be able to pump these out pretty quick after my exams this week.

This is kinda hard to do because high level players most likely will be uploading povs to their channels to promote them and not some other channel, so to have a centralized collection of povs is almost impossible I would say, just keep a list of the most active high level players who regularly upload and check for povs.

I don't know very many high level na players that upload any povs to youtube aside from grape... xalox has some highlander ones I think and I guess ninjanick does now.

Honestly I don't think its farfetched at all to add some invite players and ask them to record mumble during a match and upload their demo. It wouldn't take very much effort on their part.

I record all my matches and some scrims, but I doubt anyone would watch them being in Open, so I have them unlisted. heh

I've downloaded the vod of seagull's demo review of s15 lan finals on process which I think is not available anymore on twitch(at least I can't find it now). I've converted the flvs to avis but when I try to stitch the individual files together on vegas it tells me 'an error occurred while opening a codec", same error when using flvs or avis. Any ideas?

I record all Mumble during matches and will be syncing them with my POV towards the end of the season. I think a few people in Open already do this, like mana?

I just started doing this too more for my sake than anything, but if anyone else is interested or making a collection hit me up.
