Seeing REAL work on the demoman that is not only extensive but seems to have involved a fair bit of thought is VERY encouraging. This interests me a lot more than "we added damage rampup to the Stickybomb Launcher, bye"

The thing is, its not much of a nerf. The radius is decreased by 15%, and thats when it first exits the launcher, and it reverts back to normal radius by a mere 2 seconds, which isnt really that much, considering that the damage isn't affected by the change at all.

EDIT: For those who want to know the required materials for the weps:

Quickiebomb(spamlauncher): 2 Recs and tide turner
Panic Attack(beggars shotty): 2 recs and backscatter
Iron Bomber(grenade launcher): 2 recs and airstrike

It's reasonable precisely because it's not much of a nerf. Though reducing blast radius by ~%10 is pretty significant and the ramp up means that scouts shouldn't be killed off by one sticky at full health.

Let me say this right now: The Haste power up is fucking ridiculous. You get Negev-style fire rate, a speed boost, and insane reload speed. Enjoy it while it lasts, everyone.

Okay so the shotgun is pretty bad since, unlike the beggar's, firing single shots is way too slow. Only good for turning corners or emergency burst.

New Stickybomb launcher seems balanced. Stickies, once touching the ground, last for a little over 1 sec. Traps impossible.

Haven't tried new Grenade Launcher yet.

Still have to see things in play, but this is what I've noticed so far.

Edit: also forgot to mention my lighting is now fucked using maxframes

Valve trying to fool us into thinking it's a small nerf by using radius

base arm time for air stickies is .85 of nerfed radius, so .78 of original radius

equation for volume of a sphere is v = 4/3 * pi * r^3

4/3 * pi * (.92^3) = volume of 3.26, or 78% of original volume

For base arm time of air stickies:
4/3 * pi * (.78^3) = volume of 1.98, or 47% of original volume

The new demo items are terrible. The nade launcher is a direct downgrade? Unless you cant no rollies good? I guess the quickie will be usefull but no sticky traps can be used = other team can push easier if they recognise you are using it :( The loose cannon is amazing tho :D

messed around with stickies in walkway and the nerf seems pretty good. I think it's sorta like the DR nerf, not really a nerf but a more appropriate skill index or whatever you call it for the weapon.

The Iron Bomber is actually really great for small, low damage 'pipe' jumps since it pretty much stays in place on the ground where it hits.

with precision you can two shot or three shot every class at medium range as scout

with regen you are basically immortal unless you get cheesed (to be fair a lot of powerups can cheese you) or your dumb

sticks and pipes both had their radius' nerfed by .92, so airstickies actually have .47 of their original volume.
