So a while ago i saw a post on reddit which said you should listen to something like the "Hans Zimmer" station on pandora while studying. I've been doing that since then and genuinely enjoyed it. Now I'm curious if and what music you guys listen to while studying

I seldom listen to music while studying, but when I do, it's usually from the above artist Bonobo, Bibio, Hauschka, Prefuse 73, or someone similar in terms of ambiance-building.

Vand *snipping the awesome bonobo video* :(

I'm a huge Bonobo/ambient progression fan myself.

I listen to a lot of Nujabes and other inspired artists - chillhop.com is my main source for chilled out mixes, mostly.

There are always "homework edits" of popular songs on youtube as well. (example: Nujabes - Aruarian Dance (Homework Edit)

The key to studying with music is to listen to something you don't know the words to (or has no words at all). I listen to musicals. Slowly but surely, I found myself knowing all the words and timings for the 10th anniversary concert...

i like songs like this at a pretty low volume

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB3sXtq2VYQ

the artist has stuff that a lot less monotonous but i like boring stuff to just keep my ears from getting distracted by random noise

The Glitch Mob for some reason is really good for that stuff.
I personally listen to them and Uppermost when I do study.

i listened to a lot of soft classical music while studying lol

i wrote a ton of 20+ page papers during my last year while listening to hey ocean's albums on loop, but i think it's just because i like their songs and wouldn't suggest it to other people studying since anything else with vocals usually completely distract me

Nujabes/Fat Jon - Departure

Nujabes - Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection

I'd recommend putting these on low if you're studying, otherwise you'll nod your head / tap on things / beatbox more than actual studying.

I usually just use songza studying playlists because I'm not imaginative and culturally sound enough to find the music myself

I don't listen while studying or planning code for assignments because I find it distracting, but while I'm working on coding assignments I listen to this grooveshark stream
