reillyCheck your CPU temps

This is the way I did it, I don't know if you can do it without.

Also updating drivers in GeForce Experience as David said.

Make sure mat_queue_mode is set to -1.

Fix your CPU temps!

Tcase for the 4770k is 72.72°C:
http://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz

Your CPU cooler is very likely not mounted properly, high temperatures like these can permanently damage the CPU.

Yeah 92 is way to high, assuming you're probably just idle right now. You could have a defective heatsink or didn't apply thermal paste properly (I think default CPU cooler's usually come with paste preapplied though so that shouldn't be an issue if you're using the default one).

TechDudeMake sure mat_queue_mode is set to -1.

off topic, but why use -1 over 2? mat_queue_mode is the command for multicore rendering, right?

DamnEasyi didnt make it myself

take a look in your case right now and check if the fan on the cpu is running. if it is then you should consider taking it off, cleaning off the thermal paste with alcohol on a cotton swab or ball, and reapplying no more than an uncooked grain of rice sized strip on your cpu. don't worry about spreading it around, just place the fan on and make sure that you've got it completely centered as it comes in contact with the paste.

Do yourself a favor and throw out the stock CPU fan. I remember when I set up my new rig, I had the same problems as you. Buy an aftermarket cooler or water cooling and some quality thermal paste.

if it's a prebuilt machine i'd be curious as to whether or not the tech that built it remembered to remove the sticker from the bottom of the stock cooler that protects the paste until you're ready to install it. or maybe if it wasn't a cooler that came with paste on it already the tech just slathered paste everywhere

if you're using the stock cooler i'd highly recommend buying an aftermarket one. i'd personally recommend this:
