Listen, man. You're alive. You're you. You're unique and really, that means you're amazing. Even if you end up making bad decisions sometimes or have made some bad decisions, the fact that you're you is great.

Don't let that being selfish get in the way of realizing it. Own it. You're alive, you're you and that's amazing.

Baking cookies. They don't have to be all fancy or pretty, I make lumpy plain chocolate chip cookies that taste amazing. If you like M&Ms like me, put those in then they are nice and colourful.

For best results, let them settle for a few minutes out of the oven, but eat them when they're still warm. Accompany with milk or ice cream.

Personally when I'm down, music always cheers me up. Exercise, talking to friends, playing an instrument/singing helps.

TF2 stressed me out for so many years....I put way too much energy into it that I'd fuckin daydream about where I could hide a sticky trap in real life....or cancel plans with friends just to get 5-0 stomped

It was too much having to worry about scheduling, practice, match performance, e-drama, etc... and for little to no payoff for the amount of time invested. It was fun but I feel a lot happier leaving the game.

Casual gaming, hanging out with the girl, and jamming with some cool dudes keeps me going now.

^ Once I heard how much money is needed to invest in high level TF2, I basically lost all interest in getting anywhere past IM.

I like to make other people laugh. Funny voices and being witty to get my co-workers laughing help keep me happy when I'm sweating uncomfortably in a hot kitchen. When I'm by myself, music is cool.

Everything besides the premium, which is free right? But yeah, league fees, plane tickets, hotel costs, etc. Not sure how big sponsors are into TF2 and paying for teams anymore though. And some of that's only IF it gets that far. And if you win, most of that is pretty much enough to repay another season of the same thing.

I have been out of the loop though. Winning might give a lot more than I remember it giving.

It's not that much that you should just stop playing. If you really enjoy tf2, you're playing it because you enjoy it not because you care about making money. Like any hobby, you're paying to do it. Best case, you come out with some money, or come out even. If you make lan, the community is almost ready to help you get there and if not you payed $60 for a game you've probably invested 4k+ hours into (I'd argue that it's a fair trade).

Things that make me happy: Bikes, friends and food

Yeah, you're probably right. I couldn't play even if I wanted to anyway, since my work schedule is too unstable at this moment. Maybe once I start getting consistent shifts, I'll play again.

my kids, my wife, video games, music, TV, getting un-sober, hanging with friends watching UFC. BBQing every day during the summer.

there will be periods in your life where it's not super exciting all the time, but if you go out, meet people and go to some parties you should be able to find some fun, and maybe some lovin.

Personally, any interaction with music (playing is the most rewarding), a good book and better tea, and the knowledge that there's a lot more to it all. People come, people go and some will stay, that's just how it works. Find another outlet; music, painting, beekeeping, math, it doesn't matter what it is.

What makes the other denizens of tf.tv happy might not sway you in the slightest. With any luck something here will point you in the right direction, but I've found one of the most rewarding parts of life is discovering what makes it all worthwhile to you.

You inhabit an incredibly large and intricate world, there is always more out there for you if you keep an open mind (and that itself is, to me, a reassuring thought). Even if you live past a century, there's always more outside your door.

If all else fails, whistle along... I've never been able to remain down when doing so
