Yo, so I've just had my confirmation

Show Content
(danish "I believe in god give me money party")

and I'm left with a bunch of money. I'm looking to buy/build a new pc. This is the build I've come up with so far:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3LFny

I'm primarily going to use this to play tf2, along with some streaming. I have pretty much close to 0 knowledge when it comes to building a pc. Is this any good? Anything I can improve on? Do these things even work together?

that RAM is waaaaay overkill (8GB of 1600Mhz is perfectly sufficient), motherboard could be a little better (try a Z87), i'd go with a 600W power supply (500W will work but for a little extra money it's nice to have the extra headroom), personally i wouldn't buy windows but it's up to you.

other than that though nice build

The site that I'm looking at to build the pc includes a free copy of windows 8.

ASRock Z87 Pro3
8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600
be quiet! Straight Power E9-CM 480W

No fucking need to buy a 600W PSU. More wattage doens't mean better. Keep the rest, it's a good build.

Ok so MSI is not the best build cuality, i would go with Asus. Also instead of the Toshiba i would go with seagate. The PSU looks great and just get 8gb of ram. Case looks fine, I dont know anything about ssd's heard samsung is great.

Get Windows 8. There are a ton of improvements to the OS from Windows 7 and it's gotten better with every update. Yes the Metro UI is retarded for mouse + kb, but I haven't been to the start screen for months.

If I were you, I'd go with a better PSU, just incase you decide to use more power in your computer, and it is only a little more.

And beware, if you hit the winkey with windows 8 anywhere, It takes you back to the main screen, messes me up in game sometimes. Also, look at /r/softwareswap, selling pretty cheap OS' there.

If he's streaming, there's nothing wrong with 16GB which is what I assume it was originally (since it's 8GB 1600 now). Encoding takes up a fair bit of memory, as does capturing a video feed from a hungry game like TF2. Especially considering how cheap RAM is today, at this kind of price, it isn't a bad investment.

On just a 4670K and 760 you don't need anything above a 500W PSU, but I would aim for a better quality one. The OEM of that CX500 is Channel Well - I'd prefer to aim for something like an Antec Neo Eco 520c or SeaSonic S12II 520, both of which are SeaSonic internally.
