connecting to servers shortcut?

I was just wondering how people connect to servers via console command shortcut

and I'm not talking like "connect enterIPhere"
lets say I wanna connect to MGE iT so I type "mge" in console and I will automatically connect to the server. Because I find it kinda tedious when I'm in a pug and I have to copy paste the server info.

Does this only work for specific HUDs or can it work with any? If it can work with other HUDs, can somebody teach me how to do it?

Adding servers to your favs would be as easy? And u dont have to remember all the names for all the servers. Just saying

alias mge "connect 12.345.678.910:12345; password hi"

with your desired ip and password obviously.

Not that it really matters, but 0.0.0.0, 10.0.0.0/8, 127.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16 are all great fake ip's because they are all legal, and are all reserved for local(LAN) addresses.

I'd imagine it'd be rather easy to accidentally type a working IP address, and I imagine no one here would be willing to do anything with it.

if you have the rcon password to that server, I like to add that to my connect strings, makes managing map changes and that easier.

connect <ip>; password <pass>;rcon_password <rcon pass>

if you wanna get really efficient, add some aliases for map change and rr.
