You may have seen my HUD floating around here and some other forums, but after much procrastination and updating, dipHUD is finally complete, and ready to be released to the general tf2 public!

Download: https://github.com/diplodicus/dipHUD
Classic dipHUD Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/zoNTW (some may be outdated, check github for newest screenshots)
pv dipHUD Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/ItzhR
Customization Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/Vu3RC
Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/dipHUD

A stylish and minimalistic HUD for the game TF2 that was designed around the idea the original TF2 artstyle, while incorporating both modern and original elements to create dipHUD.

A while ago I thought that it would be fun to modify an existing HUD that I liked to suit my needs, and maybe even spruce up a couple of the menus with some white bars. Needless to say, I found HUD editing awesome, being such a great way for me to stretch my creative muscles for a game that I loved. A bazillion and a half ctrl-s shortcuts later, and here we are dipHUD.

I'm finally finished! After lots of edits and addition, I have a product that I'm willing to release!

I would love to have suggestions as to what I can do to make dipHUD better, either regarding features or bugfixes. One dude can't catch it all! That's why I need you guys!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy using the first official release of dipHUD.

The uber percentage is a pixel higher than the health. (why does this bother me so much someone pls help)

EDIT: nvm it's only if you use the health cross. my sanity is intact.

There aren't any crosshairs added yet in the HUD. I will probably be able to do that in the next 1~2 days, depending on when I will next have access to my tf2 computer. I will most likely add fog's crosshairs and some other ones like the fighter jet lines.

Exactly how I got started with HUD editing. I could see this HUD becoming very popular because it keeps true to the "Tf2 style," which is the very reason PVHUD and EVEHUD are so popular.

Pretty much every HUD is like that. If they were in the same place, how would you see the target IDs of both the person you are healing, and the person your crosshair is over?

Updated dipHUD to version 1.1

Added in this addition:

Health, ammo and medic ubercharge color customization compatability.
Fog's Crosshairs
Pilot Crosshair (the fullscreen thing).

That's all for this version, but more to come! I only really had time for these little fixes. As always, let me know of things I need to fix or should add!

Very nice hud, using it now. Only issue is that I'm finding it very hard to edit to my liking as the clientscheme (and most likely others, I haven't looked) is very messy and hard to read. Is this something on my end or just the way you set it out?

I haven't really optimized it for user-friendly-ness yet. If you could tell me what sorts of things are weird with it, then I'd be really grateful, since I have no problem navigating it, as I am hud-savvy.

Just looked through the ClientScheme myself, and he has it laid out very nicely. I'm assuming you are not using notepad++, in which case I definitely recommend downloading it.

What bothers me most is the inconsistency of various meters. I think the HUD would benefit from all the meters being the same size and in the same general location. Small labels can be used to help differentiate the meters, if that's what you're worried about.

Also, what are the differences between minmode 1 and 0?

For now, I'm going to keep the cl_hud_minmode option reserved for switching the scoreboards around from 12v12 to 6v6, but I will make other versions that would be as though it was in minmode. The layout I'm working on right now is the pvHUD layout, and that will take a while, but after I'm done that I will make a centered version for sure. Thanks for the request!

Yeah, I know that the bars are kinda shitty at the moment. I was having troubles getting the meters to line up (somescale factor was screwing with them, iunno), so I just moved them to give the illusion that I had actually fixed it. That's probably the next thing on my to-do list, as it bugs me too.

Minmode will change the scoreboard from 12v12 to 6v6, no other changes are made. You can do this quickly by pressing the switch scoreboard button on the main menu once you are in a server.
