#79 Player skill rating added to the game in TF2 General Discussion
smoboI wonder how cancerous valve matchmaking games would be if we already think TF2Center is just gross?

Or would they somehow be better???

If it works like CSGO MM it will be better than tf2 center. TF2 center anyone can join, so sometimes you have a full team of invite players stacking a team, sometimes you have cancerous assholes who offclass and spam binds, and a lot of the time people don't show up with no penalty. This would put you against people of more equal skill, and punish people who don't join the game, or grief.

#4 LF Subs - CEVO-O in Recruitment (looking for players)
aieraI thought your team was dead tbh (1 ffl, still yet to play other game week 1), also you only have 7 people rostered, not sure how you have 2 subs currently.

We had a ton of technical problems week one. We had 1 ffl match, and rescheduled the other to this Wednesday. Our other guy had agreed to sub but didn't roster yet.

sky_CraigMammaltonYou are not obliged to pay league fees unless we know we need you in advance for a match, but I would strongly prefer you pay them in case you are needed in an official.
a team generally pays for their backups since they're doing you a favor by subbing.

Never played in a paid league, was unaware. Thanks.

#1 LF Subs - CEVO-O in Recruitment (looking for players)

EDIT: LOOKING FOR ROAMER

Team: *Heavy Breathing*

Division: Open

Roster:
Pocket: Myself (Captain)
Medic: Drake (A-Captain)
Roamer: LF
Scouts: UMX and Willy
Demoman: NASTY

Backups:
Scout: Bone
Demoman: Kioz
Scout: Verrix

We are looking for as many backups as possible. We play Tuesdays and Thursdays (match days) and scrim whenever we can, ideally 2-3 times a week. We don't need subs constantly, but we need them slightly often due to other league schedules, and real life complications. You might be called in once a week, maybe more or less depending on a lot of factors. Edit: league fees will be taken care of by us.

#1 LF Pocket Mentor. in Mentoring

Hello, I am Craig. I play in CEVO-O for Heavy Breathing, with support from SYOPS. I would like a pocket mentor to go over demos, and asses weak points in my play. My goal is to improve overall as a player, main caller, and pocket by the end of the season.

#1010 MAJOR TF2 update for 6/18/14 (6/19/14, Love & War) in TF2 General Discussion
BLoodSireAfter seeing some more, I think there is a happy medium that should be reached between this update (which is increasingly seeming to be too much of a nerf) and what the demo was before (which obviously doesn't work for Valve, and has it's problems).

Some neat ideas have been suggested in this thread, including but not limited to, tightening the blast radius of stickies, reducing the ramp up time from 2 to 1 seconds, reverting to the old damage and reducing the sticky clip (either to 4 or 6), keeping the current nerf and increasing the pipe launcher clip to 6.

These all seem like better ways of handling a demoman nerf, with the last one being more of a consolation after the fact.

Also, keep it up guys, 6 more posts. We can do it.

One of the best ideas I've seen floating around is add the sticky charge time to the ramp up timer. That way, long range sticky snipes still do full damage, and by the time they get to the target mid range stickies will probably reach full damage as well. Close quarters combat as demo will still be horrible, but that is something that can be compensated for by changing strategy more so than the current state of demo.

#55 making your tf2 look blocky again in Customization

Here is a better way to toggle it without binding it to your movement

//Minecraft
alias minecraft "mat_filterlightmaps 1;mat_filtertextures 1;bind j craftmine"
alias craftmine "mat_filterlightmaps 0;mat_filtertextures 0;bind j minecraft"
bind j minecraft

just double tap the key to make it work.

#41 Autoheal or hold m1 to heal? in TF2 General Discussion
optimizeiama noob, where do you put these scripts?

they should be in your /tf/custom/userstuff/cfg/medic.cfg. In your other class' .cfg files, you are going to need to put

-attack

bind 1 slot1

bind 2 slot2

bind 3 slot3

bind mouse1 +attack

bind mouse2 +attack2

to make sure this doesn't carry over.

edit: you are going to need to create the /userstuff/cfg folders yourself. Also make sure any .cfg files you create are .cfg, not "name.cfg.txt."

#36 Autoheal or hold m1 to heal? in TF2 General Discussion

It is really up to preference. I use an autoheal script, because I tend to get a deathgrip on the mouse, and holding that for 30 minutes is painful. I don't use the in-game autoheal because it loses a small amount of uber I believe, and doesn't automatically start healing whoever is in your view. It is mostly preference though.

#29 broeselhud is back with version 2.8!! in Customization

This was the first HUD that I really fell in love with, and I kind of fell out of it when you stopped updating, and used RaysHUD. Damn, the choice between going back to my all time favorite or sticking with raysHUD is pretty tough.

Glad to have you back Broesel.
