-Frags incoming

Hello, my name is CondescendingCandlestick and I am looking for a team in low-open to chill and play some videogames with. I'm not great right now, but I put an absurd amount of hours into this game, and will likely improve rapidly. This will be my first season playing competitively, as I've been advised by a close friend to skip ugc and head straight to open. If your looking for a roamer hit me up at http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198013841235/

Thank you for your time.

See him in MGE all the time

like he says, he's not the greatest, but at least he seems intent on improving

recommend enjoying the open air more

don't listen to your friend dude, I think a season in steel or maybe backup for silver would do you a world of good

Dumb mentality. The division is literally called open. UGC 6's is a shit hole, anyway.

I posted this in the Open Happenings thread, but it bears repeating.

manaFightmastermight have picked a bad season to get my start in open :(Every player and team starts from somewhere. Unless money is a problem, there isn't really a "bad" time to start. My first season (S13) was 2-14 (2 forfeit wins, AKA we never actually won a match).

Despite what anyone says, scrims and matches definitely have an element of difference. You can scrim open teams all day and win, but match time might be a slightly (or drastically) different story. Match experience is the best experience.

I skipped ugc and now after two seasons I'm a mediocre medic on the open playoff bubble.

Follow your dreams, I hope you get a team!

I absolutely didn't mean to suggest that you shouldn't play in open, only that there's no reason to discard ugc as an option

good luck in your search

Imo you will have more fun playing ugc but you will learn more from playing esea. Try to get a team together to scrim some low open teams. If they arent 5-0ing you every game then join esea. If they are then sign up for ugc.

Most ugc teams silver and plat especially are better than low open teams. That being said there are probably plenty of new esea open teams looking to find news player so you shouldn't have difficulty.

CondescendingCandlestickOblivionagei thought you were playing on a silver team what happened? They cut me for a friend :/

now now, that's not accurate.
They needed a demo, the demo they chose required that they use a specific pocket.
if it's the team i think you're talking about

yeah, but it's easier to say they cut me for a friend as the demo was their friend
