broder - the most team in TF2!

Do you like bar charts? And other things to do with logs and damage numbers? Check out Gentleman Jon's excellent series of articles posted over the last few days at VanillaTF2:

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

Some of the most interesting i49 analysis I have seen.

I messed up the links at the start, but fixed them with enigma's help.

my initial thought to this was that these were "pairings"

imagine if tf2 had a fandom for gay fantasies between players

CYZER X SHRUGGER OTP

Fortunately the actual x-axis value for that chart is not revealed until the third article, so your fantasy can continue on some time longer...

In the following tables the first name is the fragger and the second the assister, and the ratings are by kills per map played.

so cookye only got 3.5 kills when assisted by bybben?

While I found the stats in the articles cool, and I'm grateful someone put them together, the things they manage to deduce from the data is nonsense or really awkwardly shoe-horned in 90% of the time.

I don't think you can really conclude anything about demo quality from this data without at least calculating in the amount of kritz the demo has received.

You do realize your first image makes no sense at all to anybody who clicks on this thread. I open up the thread and see a chart that isn't titled properly or any form of labeling at all and have no clue what I'm looking at.

You can't really conclude much from this data. TF2 stats are best analyzed on a per-map basis. These data contains several matches that lasted less than 30 minutes, so that skews the data a bit.

The impressive thing is the person who took the time to do this.

Seems like this "article" (if you want to call it that) is mostly based at praising EU players and teams and saying negative things about HRG players.

atmoyes, hence the caption.

The caption says "Data analysis of the top 8 teams at i49." Which still makes no sense because you have teams with a blue bar next to them and a scale from 0-4 with 0.5 intervals. This chart makes no sense without reading other articles.

Everything he said comes directly from the stats. I highly his idea for this 3 page article would be to secretly shit talk HRG...

That is the thread title, not the chart caption.
"broder - the most team in TF2!"

This chart makes no sense without reading other articles.

... precisely the point of this thread.

wpardon my english, but what the fart does most team mean

It means nothing, which is why it is matched absurdly to a chart with an unlabelled value axis.

if i can guess, is the axis the relationship compatibility between the two players and the numbers representing how far they got

1 - 1st base
2 - 2nd base
3 - 3rd base
4 - HOMERUN

to me, it makes perfect sense

edit: requesting shade x cyzer shower scene

While a lot of the stats are pretty much useless (but really fun to read and think about), the one that I really liked was the off-classing percentage. I'm wondering if it's worth sticking those results together for each team, so you find out that say.... TCM had an offclass player for 22% of the time played.

Well at least I'd be interested in knowing!
