kirbyThe community has grown and matured a lot.

I have yet to see proof of this. In fact I've seen evidence that points to the contrary, mostly this extreme hypersensitivity towards name-calling.

there are like 10 of you that care. there are thousands of internet forums. Post there or just create your own forum. the only reason to keep it here is to troll everyone else.

Hey man if you don't like it don't look at it. Nobody is forcing you to look at these threads.

people have been championing the cause of tf2's game growth and having tf2 being taken seriously as an esport since 2007, 6 years ago. of all people you should know this kirby. unfortunately tf2 will never be something big and will remain as it is for the rest of its competitive lifespan, maybe with minor increases in interest and activity but honestly nothing significant. and that's the way it is

If this thread deteriorates (if it can go any further) into another argument about the "growth of comp TF2", I'm gonna be upset.

Edit3: Better.

gr8stalinI have yet to see proof of this. In fact I've seen evidence that points to the contrary, mostly this extreme hypersensitivity towards name-calling.

I was talking more about the people who frequent this forum. I'm not saying there aren't your typical idiots, but there are a whole lot more people dedicated to seeing us and this way of playing grow than there are those who couldn't give a shit.

It's funny how you comment on shit posting with a shit post. You have to be kidding me.

I don't think I remember that many people really caring about this game's growth up until around 2010. Still awhile ago, sure, but as long as this scene is alive, there's no reason to quit trying. Have you not seen the progress we've made since 2010, let alone 2007? It's crazy.

It's not Call of Duty MLG big, as much of a joke CoD's competitive scene now is, but it's still big for what we're used to. We aren't hand given shit from the developers like that scene is. Everything we have accomplished it's because we wanted it to happen. Whether or not we get noticeably big throughout the entire eSports community isn't really the point here, however. The point is that we have come a long way in the 3-6 years and I don't see us stopping any time soon.
