Hello guys.

I made a little TF2 frags video. I started this project 2 months ago, before the release of the song. I'm a total fan of Daft Punk's RAM and Get Lucky, so I tried to recreate the atmopshere of the Get Lucky's teaser. But, in fact, some guys will like the clip, and the other not. I aware about that.

So I hope you will enjoy it :

I really enjoyed this. Seems like you are a really good editor. I would just up the recording fps and work on the colour correction and you'll be set!

I disable it because i didn't like what Intelligent resampling do : bluring the video. But maybe there are some options or parameters..

Anyway, thanks for the feedbacks; I appreciate a lot ;)

the sfm sequences got kinda old. Maybe you should use them a little bit less.

Real talk. I get the sparkles and sun are thematic but tone 'em down a little.

I really liked the concept and it was mostly well executed but you had some troubles with illumination, which sometimes make the viewer dont fully understand what's happening.
You managed to mantain the same dynamic along the video, which is great, but in the end you can see you wanted to finish the video asap, and you did that fast forward thing on the scout part, a resource that doesnt go well with this kind of videos.

Great job!

I liked it, but I didn't like the excess lens flare.

Maybe it's personal preference, but I would try to make your SFM smooths not look like they were made in SFM. The way you did the lighting and what give you to the SFM animation is what I'm talking about. You can tell it was animated in SFM. It's a consistency thing that I'm trying to get at.

I mean there are going to be frag videos with SFM animated clips in it and will be obvious (like PREM by Cube for example), but it doesn't look like it was made in SFM. I'm tired and wording this the best I can. Sorry :V

@Kirby,

Yeah I understand this point of view, but in fact, i find the smooths easier to do in SFM than in TF2 (and anyway smooths in TF2 are broken for me), in the other hand I don't really know how to set SFM's rendering to looks like TF2. I must work on it for other fragsmovie, because I won't stop using SFM, i like it and it's a powerful tool for movie making.

It was good except I couldn't see a lot of the frags because there were so many lens flares.
I did like the lens flares that followed the rockets though, they just seemed cool.

I enjoyed it a lot, but those lens flares just made it hard to see what was actually happening during a frag sometimes. Great stuff though

I made that entire intro in SFM and it looks like I just smoothed a TF2 demo. I added literally nothing to the animation. No lighting or anything. I made the animation and rendered it out. I wasn't saying to not animate in SFM and put it in a frag video. In fact, I 100% encourage you to always do that if you can/feel confident in doing it. SFM is the future of frag videos, well sorta.

Did you use SFM depth of field? Or is that done in post?

Did that with MBL. As I said, I literally did nothing extra in SFM other than create the animation and render it out.
