I think it's Knight takes pawn, King moves, Knight f7 check, rook takes queen takes and you're up an exchange with incredible threats on the pinned bishop?

why would white go Rxf2 when they can go Kg1 again and avoid the exchange? Like that white only loses a pawn and black doesn't have any real threats as far as I can tell

Because after Kg1 (second time) Ng4 is a win for black. Mate threat on h2 and if white replies with Rf3 then Qh2+ Kf1 Qh1+ Ke2 and white collapses. If the rook moves anywhere along the back rank then Qh2+ is even still incredibly strong.

best move is knight takes h3. king h1 is forced, then knight f2 forces white to trade his rook for black's knight. if you dont take the knight you lose the rook with no compensation (black skewers the rook through the king on the back row)

If the rook moves away to b1 though white doesn't get skewered (as the queen defends), still looks incredibly good for black and wins multiple pawns, but I don't see anything fully concrete
