I hope you didn't buy a "suitcase" type of record player, these ones are the worst record players you can find imo.
Its more reliable to just buy a classic one, as its usually of way better quality than the suitcase type, even if its a little more expensive.

Also big tip for vinyl enjoyers, buy some outer sleeves for your vinyls, a little protection for the cardboard cover goes a long way into giving a longer lifetime to your records. Which is pretty much mandatory for me.
A record storage suitcase is also pretty nice, but not always needed if you don't move a lot.

ymporeally good post, if you are getting into vinyl please follow this advice.

Yeah so I’ll be honest, I was pubbing and impulsively made this terrible thread. I wanted to do a vinyl thread for awhile but this ain’t it chief.

But I do actually have a record player and a more proper setup. At the moment I’m using a refurbished technics turntable from the 80s that my mom had in storage. If anyone has any suggestions for a better turntable I’d be very down to hear them.

And finally, I do actually have a fairly large collection of records. When I get home from work I can post some pictures of my favorites, and if anyone wants to discuss records please message me on discord @fyg.

do you dj to need the storage suitcase?

nah i just think that its convenient to have that than to just have a cardboard box that can maybe collapse, its just a better way to store vinyls
