is there a way to make rocket trailes less obtrusive? been playing with original for some days now and it's really annoying how the rocket trail gets on your face sometimes compared to stock

you can change the rocket trail particle effect (particles/rockettrail.pcf) or just the texture (materials/effects/rocketrailsmoke.vmt) to be whatever you like, but it will be blocked by the sv_pure settings of most servers

if u have an AMD gpu and switch to dx8 u'll get no rocket trails (no medi-beam either tho D-:)
