Does anyone know how to block ads on twitch as of April 2021

I've being using ublock origin and the google chrome extension twitch adblock and was working fine for a few months
Now twitch have updated it and is forcing ads even with ublock and twitch adblock google extension

Anyone have the solution to not watch ads on twitch?

Alternate Player for Twitch.tv works in terms of hiding the ads but it doesn't immediately load the stream as a result. It also doesn't have the purple screen so I've been using it.

Twitch has been hardcore trying to lockdown adblock for a few months now and as far as I know its a constant arms race day by day for if things work or not. There was a script that did work for a while but that has disappeared in the last like week or so and people seem to think that amazon hit the dev with a C&D or something. https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/jjesgn/fix_for_ublock_origin_on_twitch_i_updated_the/ this thread might be of use, but as said its super patchy and kinda a dice roll if shit works or if you just get purple screened to death.

you could try something like streamlink but then there is no chat unless you run that in another window (not 100 this is completely ad free, i don't really use it myself)

Firefox + uBlock origin and no ads whatsoever, even on twitch.tv.
Just use Firefox, Chrome is a bitch when it comes to your privacy.

I use notify-strip with tampermonkey. Streams are low quality when ads are supposed to be playing, but you don't see the ads and the streams are still watchable. It's pretty easy to setup
