CFG Class Files not working

My cfg folder contains class files, graphics settings files, other handy files I can do exec with in game, but the most important for me are the class files, (engineer.cfg, heavyweapons.cfg,etc...) I have deleted the files and made entirely new files, I have moved these files to custom, nothing works. The same goes for my autoexec file, if anyone has a fix for this annoying issue I would greatly appreciate it.

You either put config files in:

tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg

or

tf/custom/myconfigsfolder/cfg/heavyweapons.cfg

the 'myconfigsfolder' is a name you can come up with yourself that still make sense and contains a 'cfg' folder in which you put your config files.

Note that a config file in /tf/cfg with the same name will overrule any file with the same name in your the custom folder structure.
