need help organizing bball tournament

I was disappointed with jdawg's attempt to host a bball tourney so I'm looking into hosting one. But first I need to get a little organized. Here's what I have in mind.

Date: May 24th @ 9EST to whenever we finish

single elimination, 2v2, $5 per team entry fee(via paypal), money goes into prize pot. 1st gets 60%, 2nd gets 30% and 3rd gets 10%. Team that has the most caps after 10 minutes wins, if scores are tied there will be a sudden death round. all unlocks banned except for original and market gardener. fixed weapon spread will be on. no goaltending; 1 point penalty. pausing for d/c's allowed.

Each team will need mumble and will be given their own team channel. they will also be assigned a timeslot, not really gonna enforce it hardcore but teams need to show up in their channel within reasonable time(~5 min from their timeslot) just to get matches rolling smoothly. If you don't show up you will be DQ'd.

Things I need help with:
servers - im talking to tragic but nothing's official.
casters - i need people to cast this, perhaps tf.tv or slin?
promo stuff - i'd like someone to make a short flashy promo vid I can post on reddit to get some publicity. I'd also like a banner made.
general helpers - people to help me out and move stuff around in mumble.

let's hear that feedback and suggestions.
also post if you'd attend something like this.

Here's how I see it. Market gardener is a high risk high reward unlock. If you succeed you kill them (most of the time) but if you fail you do absolutely nothing. People who aren't really good at bball are pretty easy to market garden because their rocket jumps aren't powerful, slow and predictable but I don't think it's any gayer than a shotgun bodyblock. In high level bball people are whizzing around at insane speeds and it's much harder to land a market garden so I feel that people should be rewarded if they do.

$5 entry fee a little high compared to others. Maybe like 2 keys or something?

You serious? Keys sell for 1,86€ on the market. Are you telling me I get them for almost half the price on the American market?

Market Gardener is pretty annoying. I'd rather have no unlocks at all (except original obviously). Just my opinion.

if you go on like steamrep or something you can get keys for 1.30$

enough about keys though this is a bball thread

I honestly don't care if the market gardener is allowed be cause hitting someone with the normal equilizer does the same thing (knock them down or kill them). Also most people can't hit air melee's consistently so it doesn't matter.

I would not make it pay to enter - with how many failed bball competitions have come and gone how can you expect someone to send money to play in something that could be cancelled at any time? Even though I know you... I would still not pay for a competition being run by an individual - I think that will be your biggest issue.

Maybe once you have held a few tournaments people will be willing to pay... but not for the first one. Again with so many flakey competition holders... I would think the person running it would provide the prize. The players then just need to show up.

Just my 2 cents.

Would you pay in TF2 items? I wanted a prize pot to attract more players as well as give them an extra incentive to not drop out and win. $2.50 per person seemed like a more than reasonable entry fee at the time of posting. Also in the event of the tourney being cancelled I can always issue a refund.
