I offered to help laiky repay the lost item (he will say its not his fault because it was API, when in fact it is his fault because he logged into a sketchy website somewhere), and yet laiky still hasn't messaged me once about it, instead he has been ignoring everyone on steam, discord and snapchat who tries to come into contact with him (ive heard from a few of his friends who i will not name that he leaves everyone on delivered). very strange as its currently the festive period meaning christian, orthodox and catholic countries all have holidays off school (sixth red flag) while still appearing online on steam (changing his profile every few days, and changing his discord about me)
In short, it doesnt hurt to be kind. Even if Laiky truly couldnt repay ethereal back in any way shape or form (this is impossible) he could have worded his excuse better and more politley "sorry i kinda need the keys" is a terrible reply after 3 months of wait.
Laiky has played 3 highlander officials after the scam for SDCK! 20 (Aug 19, 20 and 20 again respectively) with an additional 2 officials in ETF2L 6s as well as 11 weeks of UGC Highlander.
Counting only highlander officials using simple math we can determine that laiky has been paid 70 keys, this 70 keys is the lowest estimate of his payments from tf2easy while the maximum being 85 keys, this maximum number comes from the 3 weeks in 6s, he would have been given another 15 keys on the condition he still carried the tf2easy tag in his username during his officials.
TF2 keys cost around $1,55 per key, meaning at maximum he has been paid around $131,75 or at lowest $108,50. According to todays prices

Assuming the rifle costs $60, every day it has costed laiky $0.3822 to not pay this sniper rifle back, although with his maximum amount of $130 he could have bought 2 sniper rifles and would have had enough money to buy himself a burger or two (or three since Russia's ecnomy sucks) or with his lowest estimate of $108 being just shy of buying 2 sniper rifles.
Honestly, knowing laiky for many years this both doesnt surprise me much as this is typical behaviour for someone with an inflated ego. It takes serious skill to be this much of a dickhead and asshole, being both selfish and having no self awareness attempting to hide what has happened from other people by telling ethereal to "stop being so weird".
I hope that this rifle gets paid back soon and in full after such time waiting. I vouch for him upgrading this rifle to professional killstreak although this is just looking through rose-tinted glasses. If this item is not paid back I both hope and Urge ETF2L admins to take action and ban this player accordingly for being his disgusting behaviour towards someone who quite simply looked up to laiky and would have been honored to walk around tf2 servers with his laiky signed golden sniper rifle; instead ethereal has been left with the taste of shit in his mouth after he has not recieved either his sniper rifle, reimbursement or at least a heart felt apology and explanation of WHY laiky cannot give the keys he is paid from tf2easy to laiky as both apology and payment. It is honestly embarassing for laiky to tell me he has no time to work because uni is apparently so demanding; I work 2 jobs on top of being a full time student and even at my difficult situation i STILL would have paid ethereal back in a FRACTION of the time it has taken laiky to even buy those 10 fuck-off keys. First of all, I am sorry for what happened to ethereal, it's obvious he’s the victim as he’s the one who lost the money. It was my fault that this happened as it was my API that got compromised. I logged into shady website with my steam login, so the scammers gained access to every trade that I do.

Secondly, I believe my initial reaction to what happened was incorrect, not only did I promise that I would repay him in full (despite the fact that I was not the person responsible for the scam and gained nothing from it) I also continued to engage with him and keep promising him that I would pay some of it. The truth is I simply forgot to do it and when he asked me again, I did not have the amount of keys in my inventory at that particular moment of time. That was my fault entirely.
I am aware I was being sarcastic in my replies to him, but everyone who knows me personally knows that's just how I react to things. I realize what I said sounded immature but I never meant it as malicious and I am sorry that he misinterpreted that.
As I had already told him, the new highlander season starts in January, and then I will be able to reimburse him in full (35 keys).
I learned a lot from this situation, and I acknowledge my lack of due diligence led to this situation unfolding the way it did.
