If TF2C bans Brightly, then they'll be obliged to pretty much ban anyone that this DDoSer wants banned. Best thing to do is wait it out and he'll take his teen-rage out on something else/get caught or TF2C can get better DDoS protection.

Like I said, the entire situation is pathetic. If it's true that the website is being taken down more easily than people thought, then it's TF2Center's fault. It's also pathetic in the sense that this guy is taking down an entire website because one person made him mad. What difference does it make if a guy's personality is shit? If he didn't hurt anybody or did anything wrong, then nothing should be done. The fact that people are coming in here and saying "yeah, just ban him already i hate him too" just shows that some people need to grow up.

If there is a bigger story to this, then I apologize, but the general gist of anyone coming into this thread is that a guy is ddosing this site because he wants one person banned. People would already assume that, If Brightly did something so bad that everyone already hates him, he should already be banned by now for doing whatever he did in the past.

The issue is you seem to think that the majority of the tf2 community is mature adults that don't do childish shit. But at the same time if one person says you are a retard, it might just be him. If you get many you might actually be retarded.

The fact that a guy is taking the time to DDoS your site just to try to ban Brightly should tell you two things TF2C:

1. Get some DDoS protection
2. Ban Brightly.

Though after reading a thread where a guy complaining about him going full time engy as med was ignored because you thought it was advancing the meta i dont think ur capable of making rational decisions

Unfortunately there's no such thing as effective DDoS protection. Due to the nature of DDoSing, the only way stop a DDoS attack is to increase your data flow to stupidly high levels (which would mean that any amount of data sent to the server would be handled with) - and that's pretty costly; by closing the server, which would obviously give the zombie computers (Peers in this guys programs) nothing to target; or by blocking the IP of every zombie computer that the server detects. And seeing as this program has over 2000 available to use, I can't see TF2C doing that.

#26/#27 We have been working up a more clear ruleset. Reporting players will be covered in it.

If Brightly doesn't play within it then he will be banned. Until the rules are clarified, as long as no major offenses are happening, no actions will be taken.

I honestly believe TF2C is a great platform and i'll do what I can to make sure that it is a good experience playing there.
