putting -dxlevel 81 in tf2 launch options makes particles brighter, darkens the game and gives you better fps.

A HUD crosshair that flashes on damage might be good for you.

i wish getting sparks actually meant something, but 90% of the time sparks show up the shot misses

holy shit that pisses me off. i have the blood decals off so i don't have to see snipers walking around with blood between the eyes in pubs.

bad hitreg sets me off because I'm not good and every shot i DO hit is precious

Not really...maybe turn up contrast and/or saturation/color vividness in your GPU control panel?

Why do you want this anyway? There may be other ways to achieve what you're hoping for.

There's a particle file that changes the Scattergun tracer. Custom particles are blocked on sv_pure 2 though.

Google "team colored scattergun tracers" for an example.

I would just like the bullet trails to appear on the screen longer and have them be a bit more bigger. Also I saw a video with yellow particles and it looked really good. I can't find them though.

I did google and install that color scattergun but it only changes the skin.

could try viewmodel_fov 5 although i must admit it's very weird to play with.

Yeah that viewmodel_fov 5 is what I'm looking for. Now to just change the particles some how.
