I just made it so there are like no plays but I just dumped every artist in my music library and youtube favorites list and then picked out some recommended artists. I like a huge variety of stuff but I feel like I need to up my rap/electronic game. Any suggestions?

Indie is not a genre.
Independet bands with no major label can be any genre. A majority of bands and musicians where at one point "indie". The word I think your looking for is alternative. However that can cover a lot of different genres as well.

I have 5-6 different style playlists on spotify

indie
chill indie
electro
chill electro
rap
funk
others

however I am feeling I just set spotify to Radio from those playlists so I end up discovering new music everytime, and adding up to my playlist collection :D its an endless musical loop, I couldn't do it without spofity obviously

Also used songza in the past, if you dont have spotify songza is a really neat site that gives you playlists based on your interests or what you like
