You do realize that the show and its characters are fictional right?
And that no one actually died and that it's all just make believe.
After a comment like that I feel the need to check.

I can see how you may have come to that conclusion but let me put it this way, my friend and I thought the same way you do before, but he has has some recent run ins with the local neo-nazis of the area, and it has been horrendous. I can't release any information about it because of the pending criminal investigation but what I can say is that we shouldn't have taken the message of the show so lightly.

I think it's worth noting here that not all skinheads are racist, neo-nazi criminals. When the skinhead subculture originated in the 60s, politics and race had nothing to do with it, and there are still plenty of non-racist skinheads today.

I just felt like clarifying that, so to get back on topic:

Walt is going to go all Scarface on some motherfuckers in the finale.

Eh, the whole M60 revenge thing still seems bizarre. I can't imagine Walt setting up some Rambo ambush on the Nazis. Dude is probably too weak from cancer to even lift it. He's not gonna get that money to his family. He reluctantly tries though he knows its not gonna happen. Getting in a shootout for his 80 Milly legacy is pretty silly.

More interested in how he confronts Elliot and Gretchen. Kinda wish Grey Matter backstory was more prevalent leading up to the ending. Had pretty much forgotten about those dudes. Everything is pretty much of fault because of his fallout with Grey Matter.

Jesse probably just gon blow up the lab or some shit with Todd in it. Having Jesse live would be nice considering he has nothing to live for now that his girl is gone. Don't think Vince would have Jesse kill himself.

Don't particularly care what happens to the Nazi dudes. In the end, they aren't gonna be producing the blue stuff anymore so they are nobody.

Lydia seems too innocent to die.

Hopefully the finale focuses more so on Grey Matter than other part of the story. Whatever happens, I bet the conclusion will be pretty satisfying. Vince has made a pretty damn good show thus far. Doubt he'd beef it now.

My prediction of sorts:

Show Content
Walt confronts Elliot and Gretchen maybe? Somehow I dont see that happening. The whole Grey Matter backstory wasnt that prevalent. Idk why it would all of a sudden come up in the last episode. Walt will take on Jack and the gang. Catch them off-guard. Frees Jesse in the process. He and Walt manage to take revenge on the Nazis, killing them all or blowing up the lab. I think Jesse is going to kill Walt. It just makes too much sense. Jesse then takes Walts 70 million and leaves town. Either way I see it, Walt is going to die. Either by Jesse or cancer. Although Im trying to figure out where the ricin comes into play. And Im not sure about Walt and his family meeting again. Just my thoughts.

disengageMy prediction of sorts: <stuff>

I really hope they don't go this route. The entire arc of the show is a tragedy about how a good man descends into moral bankruptcy bit by bit without even realizing it's happened. It's gritty and realistic and Walt is on a bleak trajectory of realistically terrible consequences for his terrible choices. It's refreshing and one of the reasons that I love this series.

Personally I'm hoping he doesn't get some kind of hollywood half-baked redemption at the end to make people feel better. It would feel like a cop out to me and fuck up the entire tone they've been creating with the last season up til the finale. However knowing how this sort of thing usually goes it would not surprise me at all if

Show Content
Walt saves Jesse and dies doing so

I just really really really don't want it to happen. I would much rather see something like

Show Content
Walt plots to poison Elliot but before doing so somehow finds out that Jesse has killed himself to escape torment at the hands of the nazis. Finally grasping the extent of the havoc he's caused and with no family left and months to live he turns himself in, planning to succumb to his cancer in jail. Suspecting he may rat them out, the nazis use their prison connections to whack Walt while he's inside, robbing him of even a natural death. Maybe the nazis get some sort of comeuppance thanks to Lydia trying to tie up the loose end that is Todd.

I think him seeing Elliot and Gretchen made him realize that he isn't a good guy anymore. He's always thought that he was doing what was morally right, but after Junior hating him and Gretchen saying that Walter White was gone made him realize that his legacy is just about the only thing left. This isn't about redemption anymore (except maybe to Jesse, but Jesse's already been fucked 100x over by Walt at this point), but revenge for a) keeping Jesse alive to cook blue meth and b) killing Hank. c) later when Todd tries to kill Skyler. Walt is going to die, but he wants to get everything straightened out and at least get his side of the story out. He knows he's truly a bad guy at this point. So he's going to go out like a bad guy and in a blaze of glory. Something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGEzasVvNCg

Also, Jesse has to live. If Walt survives the shootout/Todd then I'd expect him to give Jesse the option to kill him and probably the option to disappear (he can only give money to Jesse/Vacumn cleaner guy at this point).

my take on the bar scene was

Show Content
that by insinuating he had no impact whatsoever on the formation of grey matter eliott effectively robbed him of the last piece of his legacy he had left. His family hates him, he can't give his money to his children, and now even the memory of his legitimate accomplishment has been wiped from history. If he dies that moment his life meant nothing. It's been a motif throughout the series that this is what Walt is scared of most and would do anything to prevent. Makes me think that Eliott just pushed him over the edge and caused him to snap, and I'm speculating that he's now thinking that if he didn't get screwed by Elliott he would've had everything he wanted.

probably wishful thinking on my part though i just really dont want to see walt go scarface it's out of character and doesnt make any sense in the context of recent events

I rewatched the news scene about 5 times.

Show Content
He gets a bit angry when he hears about them denying everything, but he doesn't start "breaking" until he hears about the blue meth being out there AND in Europe. He starts to open his mouth then instead of just his mad/contempt face. He fully breaks when she says Walt is gone. I don't think he'll go after Eliot/Gretchen because she made him realize the truth of who he is now (even though they lied about his legacy, he can probably understand why publically. On the other hand, the Nazi's not following the agreement to kill Jesse gives him the "right" to go kill them).

I can't release any information about it because of the pending criminal investigation but what I can say is that we shouldn't have taken the message of the show so lightly.

Not true. I work with a bunch of kids who are gang affiliated and some of them are the nicest, brightest young kids I have, who have just been born into a life that is inescapable.

back on subject:

Does anyone feel like this last episode is gonna require some leaps? The last flashforwards that this show did ended up amazing, but Gilligan seems to have bit off more than he can chew in trying to resolve things in this last episode. I just really really hope they don't leave too many loose ends. Obviously a sign of great TV is keeping people talking about it after the show has ended, but I don't think anyone wants another Lost situation.

I trust Gilligan to make this great. I just hope they don't cut to black before we find out what happens to these incredible characters.

There aren't many loose ends though. The only people left in the game are Walt's family, Jesse, Brock, Lydia, and the neo-nazis. Killing the neo-nazis cleans up just about everything (money back, Jesse and Brock saved), plus Lydia with ricin cleans up things nicely. That's not to say the money might go to waste, but Saul is gone. I think Walt can convinced the cleaner to take Jesse again despite his policy too, letting Jesse get on with his life potentially. Then Walt can die (and probably confess everything to the DEA before dying to get his "legacy") and hope that Jesse figure out how to send the money properly to Brock, Mike's granddaughter, and Walt's family.

Whatever music is chosen, if any at all, it will be amazing. One of the best things about BB is the music choice and general use of audio as a whole.

Because Family, Safety of your children, honesty and being a husband is boring QQ drama. They're only annoying in the sense they are a barrier for the ones we're rooting for (Walt, Jesse) having all the freedom in the world, without them the show isn't half as good as they act as motives to the character's behaviour.

It all ends tonight.

Any recommendations for other shows since Breaking Bad is ending tonight?

I've watched the first season of Dexter but I heard after Season 4 it was bad so I'm kind of staying away from it.
