FREE 512 Slot Teamspeak 3 Server For Any & All

What?
A free, 512 slot Teamspeak 3 server. You can make your own temporary channels with a password by:

Right clicking > Create Channel > Fill out the boxes with whatever information you want > Click ok.
No need to request permission or speak to anybody you don't want to.

If you have a team feel free to ask for a permanent channel and it will be provided. Whoever requests it will be given the channel group "Channel Admin" which gives them complete control over the channel to edit the name, description, users in that channels channel groups etc.
99% uptime and security is in place.

Why should i?
VoIP software like Teamspeak 3 helps improve coordination and is a much quicker and clearer way of communicating to others on your team, if you want to improve your gameplay it's an absolute must.

I'm hoping that there will be enough people interested in meeting new people to play with and improving their personal skill level to join. There's far too many threads from people who are frustrated with that one guy on their solo queue team who feeds the enemy carry all game. Now you can do something about it and avoid that situation instead of suffering!

How do you do it?
The teamspeak is hosted on a dedicated Dell Poweredge Server (which is more than capable of handling it) of which i have complete control over. This means i can ensure the security of the server and keep it backed up incase something goes incredibly wrong. I have a teamspeak non-profit license which is what allows me to host it with 512 slots.

Anything else
If you have any other questions please post in this thread or come onto the server and whisper me (Channel Support), i'l get back to you asap.

:) If you like what i'm doing please bump this thread! :)

timesthelegallimitVery generous of you. Out of curiosity, what are the advantages of Teamspeak compared to Mumble?

Mumble and Teamspeak 3 are both high quality voice over ip programs, but which one is better? We all know that teamspeak is the popular one, but just because it's popular doesnt make it the best Voip. Stability on both seem to be relatively same.

Mumble has a reliable overlay whereas teamspeak 3 will crash in every couple of hours or so for most users. The overlay doesnt even work with some of the video cards and if it does it's seriously glitched or making the game crash itself. Though overlay is not needed if you're playing with close friends because you easily recognize their voices but if you are put together with 20 strangers, it becomes a problem.

If your internet connection is not that great mumble also lowers your voice quality, it might sound a bit robotic but it doesnt break up the connection, like it would in teamspeak. So you dont have to repeat yourself several times.

Speedwise mumble wasn't that great awhile back but now both are equal, mumble being faster about 2 milliseconds.

Mumble
Operating systems - Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, Android
License - BSD
Protocols/based upon/compatible with - CELT / Speex
Encryption - TLS and OCB-AES128
Max conference peers - No max (limited only by server bandwidth and memory)
Other capabilities - Chat with (limited) embedded HTML, Automatic Gain Control, Access Control Lists for user management, Customizable In-Game Overlay, Directional Audio, Plugin Support, Nested Channels, Echo cancellation, Logitech G15 support

TeamSpeak
Operating systems - Linux, Windows, Mac OS X
License - Freeware Closed / Proprietary
Protocols/based upon/compatible with - Speex
Encryption - Yes (Optional)
Max conference peers - Unknown
Other capabilities - Conferencing, File Transfers, Plugin Support, Logitech G15 support, In-Game Overlay

Overall when it comes down to it they are almost the same thing, more bells and whistles in TS3 then Mumble but Mumble was made to me simplistic anyways and if your friends are already on TS3 it's hard to switch over to Mumble.

Really? At least in TF2 Mumble is everything. Where is teamspeak still used?

I've seen it used in LoL, Battlefield, and CoD4.

no one uses ventrilo anymore from what ive seen, in some games ts and mumble are split and in others I think its more of one than the other

tf2 is a mumble-centric game tbh

Mumble uses Opus now, when possible, which is afaik the best low-latency & low-bitrate audio codec that exists right now.

I've used teamspeak in the past and preferred it over mumble. Very easy to set up and never had a single technical issue with the program. There were times where I simply had to use it over mumble because mumble just wasn't working properly.

When you connect, you should see a battery icon on the left status/chat area. Click it, and it should open a webpage saying you've extended it or something. To login as admin, connect with the username "SuperUser".

I figured it out
what you need to do is login into the mumble server as SuperUser, then you can admin people and make channels etc
