Just been knocked out of the most recent cup, only two points of feedback after you improved everything else massively.
1. Please use the most updated versions of maps! cp_sunshine_rc8 and cp_granary_pro_b10
2. The golden cap scenario is perfectly fine as long as people expect it. As soon as the timer ends and you draw, it launches you straight into the golden cap without having to ready up. I like this, it keeps the tempo up, but I can see the argument for allowing a ready-up period too. In actual fact the BEST scenario imo would be to not have any golden caps whatsoever, and:
...once the timer runs out and you draw, the timer simply doesn't end the round and the game ends whenever a team next scores a round. This means that teams will keep playing the last round until it ends, and the winner of that will be the overall winner. It doesn't reset the round so it allows teams to continue the flow from the actual game.
This is ofc pretty controversial since it's different to how every other league runs it but it solves the neverending problem of how to run tiebreaker scenarios in TF2. And it's perfect for you guys since you run on a mod anyway.

Can we focus discussion here on preference for handling the Golden Cap? I see three potential options. I think to adhere to ETF2L standards we would need to force a ready menu before Golden Cap, I would still like to have the conversation though.
All three options assume there is a tie when map time ends and that the next round point decides the match victor.
Option 1
- On map timer end - immediately stop match.
- Reset player positions.
- Send message indicating "Golden Cap".
- Launch ready menu.
- Once all teams ready - go live.
Option 2
- On map timer end - immediately reset player positions.
- Send message indicating "Golden Cap"
- Go live.
Option 3
- On map timer end - Send message indicating "Golden Cap".

option 3 is the one I was trying to show in my post too, but you put it better :D imo the best way to do it, but it would reduce the tense action that happens at the end of a game. If it's going to a draw there's no need to push on the timelimit since you know it'll be extended anyway. Less exciting final moments in exchange for a potentially fairer outcome.

If you absolutely want to adhere to the standard usage in europe and other scenes, option 1 is the way to go. And would confuse the less amount of players.
Option 2 seems ok if you want to save potential dead time between regular time and golden cap. But I don't think teams take that long between both nowadays.
Option 3 is basically what happened today minus the warning. Imo I think that's the most confusing and unbalanced option. It seems that if there's a regular time then we should abide by that? I don't know of any other sports of the top of my head that doesn't "reset positions" after the regular time ends in a tie, seems a bit unnatural. And would also feel a bit underwhelming in the final moments of regular time of a tied match like sideshow mentioned.

Option 3 2 is the best, playing the GC immediately is the best option because it takes ages for people to ready up between.

With option 2 gc starts immediately and it keeps the possibility of last minute exciting action.

Option 2 is what happened today! You were there! How do you not remember this... Literally option 2 is what we played with today. It ended the round at the time limit then launched us straight into the golden cap.

I am personally liking option 2 the best, it gives us some of the immediacy desired from option 3, with a proper reset that an OT determination should have.
The issue with Option 3 is that the immediacy for the final push in the last few seconds isn't there. I feel like this will slow down the action a bit and negate the purpose of the 30 minute map timer.

No, check your stream VODs, we capped with 8 15 seconds left and the round started immediatly after still with that time left, only at 3 seconds left the timer disappeared, so we effectively started the golden cap round mid-rollout. Thats why it was confusing as fuck.

Yes we do plan to have logs.tf integration. I cannot put an exact date on it yet, though.

I personally would prefer option 1 or 2, with 2 looking like the safer option.

I feel that option 1 is the best, as it does still allow teams to go back into the action almost instantaneously, but it also allows them a bit of breathing time after 30 minutes of nonstop play. If timing is an issue, you can force the game to go live again after a certain amount of time (maybe three minutes) like is done in CS between regulation and OT.

That's what I meant by a safer option, I feel like the gap could be abused, or all excitement could be lost. Perhaps less than 3 minutes even, but I like option 1 with the maximum gap restriction, didn't consider that.

I will post the STV for the finals.. If anyone wants to cast I would love to watch.
I won't have any of those fancy casting tools available for you though. Nothing like flying blind. :p
Also if someone does decide to cast it, let me know and I will link the stream on the match page.

when you guys are finished playing your matches, it'd be great if you posted reviews of the service and how smoothly things went in terms of getting your matches scheduled and off the ground.

Tourney is p cool you get in matches pretty damn quick so there isn't a long lull, server locations are weird but the razer servers were actually good which is nice.
