It's gonna be kind of crazy to think that late this year that I'll have been going at this gig of mine for 10 straight years. Even though the glory days of the at-least-once-weekly updates are long behind us, it's been quite the ride that I've been happy to share. And really, thank you all for your readership, and especially thanks to those of you that do your own digging as well. Without you, getting quality information out to the masses, preferably in a hurry, would be a tough ask. It's a true team effort.

ZestyThe way Facepunch handled bans was extremely entertaining. I miss that website.

Most of us have moved on to Knockout after Garry decided to be Garry and kill off the old forums. It's a fair bit more relaxed over there, though most of the fracases these days are about whether you can even say this or that word at all. A lot more open than FP ever was even if a bunch of the userbase doesn't like the POV of some of the mods there (most of which are different, I think really the only carryover is OvB). I don't really hold any hard feelings, that post of mine was really a knee-jerk thing that was influenced heavily by a near-B&E experience a long, long time ago when I was much younger. It was actually around one of the nicer areas of Tyndall Park too, closer to King Edward if I'm remembering right, pretty much right across from Stanley Knowles, but even then the cops dragged their ass horribly to even take a statement from what I was told.

Via HLDS:

Valve- Added a round timer to cp_powerhouse
- Updated/Added some tournament medals
- Updated the localization files

Rumor has it:

- In case you haven't seen it elsewhere already: the Luxembourg server cluster (also referred to as EU West in Dota 2 and CS:GO) has been decommissioned last week in favor of a new cluster in Frankfurt, Germany
- However, at this time, the new Frankfurt cluster is not currently able to be matched to in TF2, and you will likely notice higher than usual latencies for the time being while the game's matchmaker places you on a nearby cluster like Madrid or Stockholm
- If you're a Dota 2 and/or CS:GO player just passing by, no action is required

- /u/pikatf2 says that some function changes strongly suggest a bug with Strange weapons not counting kills in parts of Halloween maps where you get turned into a ghost after dying (TF_COND_HALLOWEEN_IN_HELL) has been fixed

- Not a lot of tournament medal additions as far as the tournaments that were added, which are as follows:

- NHBL Season 10 (Natascha Heavyweight Champion, Sasha Heavyweight Champion, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 4th Place, Participant)
- EBL Invite Season 5 (1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Participant)
- EBL Main Season 5 (1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Participant)
- EBL Open Season 5 (1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Participant)

- Maintainers of custom HUDs will probably want to check for some funny business in leaderboards

- Several items have had their "Of"s in their names turned lowercase, including the Towering Pillar of Summer Shades, Spirit of Giving, The Full Head of Steam, Pile of Ash, Voodoo-Cursed Bag of Quicklime, Pile of Curses, Get Out of The Locker!, Wall of Pain, Brim-Full of Bullets, Melody of Misery, and Head of Defense
- The "Process of Elimination" achievement also had its "Of" turned lowercase

- The same is also true of The Ivan the Inedible, which had its second "The" turned lowercase, as well as a string for disabling HTML MOTDs that had its "Of The" turned into "of the"

SOOOOOAPYMEISTERnot wickedplayer, dont care.

Well at least OP got the date right on this one. Someone did one on /r/GO for last night's tiny update and although they did pretty alright by doing it as a text post, they screwed up the date so that it was actually a day in the future.

Originally I thought I'd just pass on it here but the RHI section is actually looking a little beefier to the point where it's probably worthwhile anyway. I'll put it up when I've got it all done and the only thing left to do is turn Markdown into BBCode. Something I've been giving a little bit of thought into over the last little while is having a CMS of sorts where I can just style things the way I want once, and then have both Markdown and BBCode varieties spit out from it, maybe even automatically, so I can just edit once instead of effectively having to re-do whole RHI bullets. That's something that's a bit of a PITA especially on the CS:GO side with lots of new items.

Speaking of which, VACnet when.

Valve[2020 RMR Stickers]
– Team Stickers featuring the best-performing regional teams from the 2020 Regional Major Ranking events are now available for purchase. 50% of the proceeds go to the teams who participated in the 2020 RMR.

[GAMEPLAY]
– In Competitive and Wingman, if your team has fewer players than the opposing team for 3 or more consecutive rounds in the half, each of your team members will receive a $1000 ‘Shorthanded Loser Income’ following a round loss. This does not apply in cases where a player was kicked.
– In Competitive and Wingman, each team has one 2 minute technical timeout that will be automatically initiated the first time a teammate disconnects. The timeout will end early if the teammate abandons or reconnects to the match.
