I would just like to point out that Chrome has the ability to make an application shortcut for any webpage baked in. Press the menu button top right, navigate to "More tools", and select "Create application shortcuts..."

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If anyone was going to develop a scrim client/website that integrates servers the most logical thing to do would be to get in touch with the tf2center devs and hopefully work together to add a scrim section the to site. From a non-coder's perspective all the groundwork is there, you would only need to add a few things to an existing system rather than recreating the wheel.

So I was typing up a post for that j4m guy's scout vid thread, but when I tried to submit I found out the thread was gone. "Whatever, I guess he just deleted it or something", I thought to myself and proceeded to head over to his TFTV profile to send him a PM about his video and why people didn't like it/it wasn't appropriate content for a site devoted to competitive TF2. Apparently that guy is now banned from TFTV and, at the risk of sounding like the internet butthurt police, I don't think stuff like that really helps TFTV's image in the greater TF2 community.

Maybe I missed a crucial post where he did something truly terrible, but if not I really don't think banning people for (admittedly) awful threads is exactly good practice. Let him know why his video is terrible and/or ill-received, hell you can even call him shit if you want but I don't understand banning a player who's obviously new to this niche community of TF2 on his first offense. RIP j4m.

Sounds like it could be some sort of volume normalization going on. Have him look in the motherboard/soundcard audio control panel and find anything about volume normaliztion/auto leveling/something along those lines.

Played around in the newly textured map just now and holy moly this game is pretty. I'm not sure what will happen to my framerate once I play with actual people but it was surprisingly smooth running around admiring the sights.

Every time I see threads about IRC pug channels dying, I wonder about implementing an IRC widget right here on TFTV (think like a TFTV stream page, but instead of a twitch stream you have an embedded IRC chat with the various TF2 channels). I don't know much about coding so I can't speak to the amount of effort required, but IMO this would massively lower the "barrier to entry" and help keep the various pug channels alive and popular. If you really want to go nuts, you could have a ticker somewhere that reads the status of each pug channel every minute or so (number of players added, what classes required, etc.).
