ESEA always have headphones/mice/keyboards for use at LAN. All you need to do is give them collateral (usually your license).

mustardoverlordIma try to go to this, but what's the deal with lodging in the area
More on this will come about sometime soon.
thrasherI'm glad to see a lot of people interested, and I will be putting up a thread later on that will cover a ton of things, including "whose going".The main reason for this thread is to get some feedback on various aspects of the LAN.
This.
We are really glad everyone is showing their interest in going (and that's welcome, too), but we want more input on buy-ins, maps, etc. :3
Ninja_pandamage24365http://www.ugcleague.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6Isn't newbie mixes for 6 vs 6?
Say you're looking for an iron team for S10 as pyro.
Try lobbies or newbie mixes.
Yeah, but it doesn't hurt to be in them even if you like highlander more.
Hi!
So, once again, The GXL is going to have another LAN in Oaks, PA. Team Fortress 2 will be a pro tournament, so you should come :]. The difference between a pro and non-pro tournament is that pro tournaments have buy-ins, and all buy-in money will be used as a prize pool for the placing teams in the tournament. For what places get what cut, that will be in a future thread with tons of information and confirmed teams.
The pro tournament will take place on Saturday from start to finish.
I will not be playing in the tournament since I'm super busy with managing all of the tournaments and other stuff. Thrasher will be playing in the tournament. He played in it last time, and everyone was cool with that. If anyone has any issues, please voice them. How all of the past GXL TF2 tournaments ran had practically no possible room for bias from an admin, due to the ruleset (throwing out maps, etc).
For the last TF2 tournaments that Thrasher and I ran, they got awesome feedback from everyone and it was a great time had by all. Now, I'm not running this tournament, because Thrasher is. However, I am the tournament director of all tournaments and such. So, here is where I come to you guys and ask everyone for input, suggestions, etc.
Some starter topics:
Buy-in amount per person ($20?)
Map selection (throw out maps until only one remains / predetermined map / ?)
Map pool (What maps do you want to see? Perhaps even retro maps?)
Side tournaments on Friday (bball / draft tournament / ?)
Any other suggestions or input towards this tournament are welcome. Thrasher and I will be looking this over and will make a new thread with all of the gathered, final information from your input and other stuff. There isn't really a time-frame for the input right now, but when it's getting around to the time where it's coming to an end, we'll make a post about it.
You can register now at http://events.thegxl.com
I will be the head admin of all tournaments for this LAN, and thrasher will admin TF2.
I'll make a thread full of info and such sometime tomorrow.
I talked to ww at the FITES LAN, and he said that he really has no interest coming back, probably for good.
He is an absolutely amazing roaming soldier, and one of the most chill people I've ever met, in and out of game.
this was so long ago and a classic, but:
glue drops an uber
gluber
This is becoming incredibly fucking pathetic.
