I might sound like an asshole but... how do you manage to get 50 fps with maxframes? Max allowed me to run it at 60 on an old labtop. I can understand if you are saving for a PC that's actually good, but if you have like <100 spare bucks I'm sure that would already be enough to get you up to constant 60.

@topic I can confirm that 144hz helped me insanely because whenever I miss a shot now I actually can "confirm" that I missed it and I see where I shot and how I missed. It allows you to actually see where you went wrong. Improvement guaranteed, worth saving for.

If you don't feel like having a LAN cable the size of the midgardsnake going through your entire house, you can see if DLAN is an option for you. It is a form of sorcery where the LAN signal gets sent through your power cables (it will not burn your house down). It does not work in every household because of different power circuits, but you can just buy the thing and send it back if it doesn't work. It is extremely simple to set up and will give you an all around better connection than WLAN. If you find out that it actually is you wifi that is capping you, look into DLAN.

The question is, if I join any div 6 team, am I going to be playing in div 6 the rest of the year? I mean at top level, people hop around teams pretty much on a daily basis, but I don't see me doing that, even if I would get an offer from a different team.
I mean, am I supposed to steam PM my team and say "yeh, was a good time with you but I know some people who need a scout and they're div 5 so go fuck yourself and get a new scout huehue"? Oh, I thought you were on HDMI on both monitors. Did you monitor your game's framerate to rule out that it is a software issue and you framerate is actually dropping?

On a sidenote, is your HDMI cable even HDMI 1.4? Because otherwise it isn't even suited for 120hz use.

Couple years of pubs. Couple weeks of lobbies full of trolls. Then PUGs, MGE and DM. I'm still pugging of course, but that's all. I really don't have any friends that are into comp like I am, pretty much all my friends that play tf2 play mostly pubs, sometimes we MGE together but I always win. I feel like getting into a team is the next logical thing to do, especially since I have more time to actually give a shit about tf2 now than ever before. Until I get into one of course I will continue pugging and doing other tf2-related activities.
