-Fixed broken ambient_generic entities in community maps where the sound being played was updated after the map was loaded
Is this the rumbling cart noise bug? I'd love not to have to hit my snd_restart bind anymore...
BenroadsIf I were to guess I would imagine it's a problem with dx9_ as I have been testing everything in dx81. Maybe try replacing the "env_rain_001_mist" particle to something else from here the particle list (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Talk:List_of_TF2_Particles). It could also be a problem with transparent viewmodels but cannot really confirm that without installing them myself.
As far as the downloads go I probably shouldn't have hosted everything on puush because it's honestly a pretty sketchy website but when I checked earlier today both of my downloads worked perfectly fine. There is a chance that you just tried to download at a time when the puush servers we having issues.
I guess I'll try to find the culprit file myself.
Would appreciate any help.
HonsterBenroadsStarted messing around with this stuff again and found that you could remove the muzzle flash that is shown when using viewmodels.

I did this by replacing whatever was set to "MuzzleFlashParticleEffect" with "env_rain_001_mist", I chose this because I am fairly sure that it gets tagged as a weather particle so it will not render if you have disabled weather effects (I would assume most people do). It seemed to work with most weapons, the only major exceptions really being the miniguns and a few scout primaries. This all should work on sv_pure 2 and includes my updated explosion stuff.

Using this I get the same issue as Mighty, shifting smoke/fog everywhere.

Im running Comanglia's fps config, dxlevel 90, plus Transparent Viewmodels. For the second picture I removed my transparent viewmodel texture and hud_reloadscheme'd the default hud and still got the issue. tf_particles_disable_weather 1 is enabled in my graphics config, maybe it no longer works but otherwise I have no idea why this would be appearing.
Having the same problem. I use Transparent Viewmodels, too.
There is no true sv_pure fix yet :(
The only way to get it to work is to preload any map you want to play in an sv_pure 0 (or listen) server first.
Its possible that someone could make a single map to preload all maps at once, but apparently this would take a lot of work.
How's the YT channel coming along?
MightystabbyWould someone mind whipping up a sniper rifle => AWP shot sound, please? I'd like to include it in the upcoming Everything Pack :)I made it here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9r4tn2sjemdq879/tf_weapon_sniperrifle.ctx?dl=0
put it inside "tf/custom/_______/scripts/"
Awesome! Thanks so much, I'll be sure to give you a shoutout in the post :)
Marty oh hey you can change the pitch too
Whoa! How please?

Hey Jareteking,
Any chance you still might make that preloading map so that this can work on sv_pure with a single all-map preload?
Would anyone here be up for helping with that?
It smooths keyboard input, much like mouse filtering--essentially, it takes keyboard inputs and averages them out between two frames. It's called "keyboard sample time smoothing."
The command probably exists for PS/2 keyboards which have a low polling rate of 60hz (vs the standard USB keyboard's 125hz).
It's best to set it to "0" for increased responsiveness; I can tell the difference. The magnitude of how impactful the effect is depends on your FPS, since it's averaging between frames.
And there is no value higher than 1. 0 = off 1 = on

UPDATED CLEAN TF2
-added _clean_waters, which makes water look like the above and should help fps by a fair bit on water-heavy maps
-split _unlit_playermodels to make _unlit_weapons too
-added _unlit_weapons_noskins to remove the gunmettle skins from weapons (bit late coming, sorry bout that)
-reorganized everything to go into subfolders based on how they work in sv_pure
_clean_waters messes up a bit in sv_pure 2, much like _unlit_world now does, but I'm keeping both included in any case
I don't have any stattrack weapons to test it on so unfortunately _unlit_weapons_noskins just gets rid of the skin material, but should be fine 99% of the time.
Any word on the preloading map? I'm dying to use this in sv_pure :(
I think it's cool that you did this, but just gonna throw this out there since it has everything yours includes minus Rhapsody's config (has my own and Comangila's).

Don't mean to be rude, just helpful.
FlickerThe Func F-Series 10 XL is a quite expensive hard mousepad, but I can only recommend it. I've been using it for a few months now and my goliathus speed simply doesn't compare in terms of glide.
Then again if you don't want to spend too much on a mousepad, the qck+ should suit your needs. It also depends if you prefer a cloth or hard mousepad, the latter should in theory be more durable but not as comfortable as a cloth mousepad (it's all relative).
it's expensive but it lasts forever. Best to buy one awesome pad than many cheap ones.
