#4 discrepancy between player count and YouTube views in TF2 General Discussion

I cannot find the article, but TF2 is the most installed game on steams platform.

IIRC it clocked in at around 50+ million installs.

Even with games that people do not play anymore, they understand the content and can follow it because they've likely played it before. Which means they're more likely to watch that content, then a game they've never played before.

There's games I've watched content of, even though I don't play anymore.

#24 Donald Trump Impeach in World Events
plusProton>Trump locks kids in cages, separting them from their parents
>Trump is accused of sexual assault
>Trump makes racist comments
>Trump embezzles tons of money into his own businesses

Democrats : silence

>Trump talks about investigating Bidens son, a member of the political establishment

Democrats: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Further proof that the political-aristocrat class will complictly go along with the status quo until one of their own is threatened. What he's getting impeached for is probably not even in the top 10 worst things he's done this year

In what world did the democrats be silent over those issues?

- Comments like "Good guys on both sides" was very vocal feedback, which caused Trump to try to backpedal (but didn't really)
- "Grab them by the pussy" sexual assault comments got so blown up even Republicans distance themselves from Trump at that moment.
- Trump locking kids in cages caused tons of feedback and even got trump to sign a faux executive order to "reverse" the decision, but not really
- Trump embezzling money has been called out many times, most recently over that Air Force who stayed in a Trump property that was on the other side of England and made no sense to stay at, other than to line Trump's pockets.

Everything you mentioned had strong and loud feedback from democrats, the reason that there wasn't impeachment over these things is because they were not believed to be impeachable offenses.

The reason the impeachment came from the attempted extortion of Ukraine to try to force a foreign government to interfere in the next election, by withholding promised military aide while being under attack by Russia, is because that's something that the democrats believe falls under "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

In all of the people who testified under oath, none of them put any real credence to these Biden claims were legitimate. Also include the fact that this wasn't an attempt to set up a general corruption task force in Ukraine, but a specific quid pro quo by Trump to help his re-election. As it was shown in all of the testimony that this was not some bigger idea by Trump to look into all possible corruption in Ukraine, but purely abusing the power of his office to withhold money desperately needed by an ally who's under attack by an enemy of the US, to attack a domestic political opponent.

#5 EU.RGL to take a hiatus in News
eXtineHm, too bad but kinda understandable as there isn't the same niche for RGL in EU as there is in NA.

I'm sorta surprised overall that ProLander isn't catching on with the EU Highlander crowd, but some HL people in NA have told me they've drifted back to preferring HL over ProLander. *shrug*

ETFL2 Unrestricted 6s when? April Fools One Day Cup?

I mean compared to the NA Prolander scene, the EU scene was almost twice the size at the start. The biggest issue with EU was that I was not able to put 100% into it like I was able to with the NA scene. When the top comment is "I didn't even know this existed" is proof of that.

I'm still surprised that ETF2L has not done its own NR Sixes cup, given how popular ours was here (especially with new to comp players), and how many requests I had to do an EU version when ours was live. I hope they'll consider it.

Eventually, I'd like to get our EU league back online, but right now we're working on NA 2020 season which is very exciting. We will see the return of our No Restriction Sixes league and some other big things...

#6 RGL-Invite 6s S1 W1: TBD vs Mein King in Events
bearodactylI think by stats page they mean being able to readily see the stats on the same page as the match comms/score like in esea, if it's too cumbersome to embed the logs like tftv used to do with esea matches on here, might as well have a link to the stats at the very least on the RGL site itself so people can find them easily (for example, I can't find them anywhere on this page or the RGL match page, im sure i could look at the players specific logs but that's more effort than it should be)

Ye, one thing I'm going to try to add for next week is for leaders to link the logs when reporting match scores. So they'll be displayed in match comms after the match.

itsgalf- Dolphin seems to be a top notch observer. He caught a lot of great plays/airshots

<3 dolphin

itsgalf- Instant onscreen stats during halftime is very nice

Since logs are put onto logs.tf, makes it very easy to get them quickly into our dashboard/display.

itsgalf- There wasn't combined stats at the end of the game, only stats for the 2nd half. Would be nice to have the combined stats (I'm guessing some technical limitation that's being worked on) for future casts

Dolphin can combine stats, we just didn't last night. It's a good point though that it make the effort to do that for sixes. Since in HL and Prolander, combing stats on Payload isn't as good, IMO, but for 5cp it makes a lot more sense.

itsgalf- Bring in some more experienced casters. Sandblast is good, but your inexperience in 6s CP matches was a bit noticeable at times. Not that you're a bad caster or that you won't pick it up over time, but also need to get some more experienced talent.

Totally agree. This is one of the reasons, prior to the start of the season we reached out to several players to see if they'd be interested in casting with us: marmaloo, shamoo, sandblast, as a starting place. We still are looking for more! If anyone is reading this is interested in becoming a caster with us, feel free to reach out to me on discord @ sigafoo#0685.

One question that people have asked us, "If I cast with you can I cast with other orgs?" Of course you can. For instance, eXtine is going to some cast with us later in the season and already does casts with tf.tv.

---

And on my front, definitely agree that it's going to take a bit of time for me not to be so obviously green. In my casting of this match I tried to stay away from giving strategic opinions or saying what teams should do, at least not nearly as much I do when casting Prolander/Highlander. Try to stick to more of what is happening and lean on the color more for opinions on what should be/could be happening.

Also if I get something wrong about you, your team's strategy, etc.. Definitely feel free to hit me up directly and point out the mistake(s). Will help me to learn faster and understand the game better.

itsgalf- Does RGL not have a stat page?

We just use logs.tf presently.

Thanks for the feedback!

#17 RGL Site Problems in TF2 General Discussion
guacThere is round off error in the computation of match points. We just lost a match 3-4 and our points should've been 1 since loser points = ((Losing Team Rounds Won)/(Winning team rounds won - 1)) = 3/3. Somehow this computes to 0.99 and the opponents won 2.01. Probably not a super big deal now but if there's computational errors like this this can add up over the course of the season.

Fixed your score. I'll look into this tomorrow, should be a very small fixed and corrected for the next matches. Schedules go up tomorrow.

If anyone else runs into site issues, the best way to get it resolved is either by contacting me directly on discord (sigafoo#0685) or posting in our #help discord channel. Generally, we respond within minutes.

#11 RGL.gg Sixes - Season 1 - Update #2 in TF2 General Discussion
JaguarFiendYou should really partner up with the TF.TV production people for the casting side of things. If you want the finals casted on the RGL channel (or whenever it is that you need to get the biggest view volume, you said) I'm sure they can do that for you as well. It's just a shame and a waste to not utilize the experienced, awesome people that our scene produced over the years.

We reached out to the tftv production head right now, louster200, about a week ago, to let him know we'd be happy to do some sort of merge or figure something to work together in general. Beyond the initial conversation, we've heard nothing back from them.

For the Grand Finals itself, it's certainly a possibility to potentially have a tftv person join our talent for the night. Obviously, we do not have that stuff set in stone right now. We generally just look at who's been the most consistent and strongest throughout the season for casting and if there's a pair that's been working well together.

#1 RGL.gg Sixes - Season 1 - Update #2 in TF2 General Discussion

Survey

First and foremost, our survey has had a great response so far, but we want to make sure that all voices are heard. If you are a North American Sixes player or someone who’s interested in trying North American Sixes, please take a few minutes to take the survey.

http://sixes.rgl.gg/Players/My/Survey.aspx?s=5

We will close the survey this Friday (the 21st.) We will make an announcement with the results and changes to the first season shortly after.

Registration

Registration is still open. After a week we’ve had over 65 teams started and looking like six-seven prospective Invite teams so far. Don’t forget that our early bird registration deal ends tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11pm Eastern. You can save 20% on your personal or team registration.

Register @ Sixes.RGL.gg

New Head Admin

The reason for this announcement though is to inform everyone of some staff changes for our first season. Yari Qwerty was out of the country for funerals and other family related things. Yari and I talked on the weekend he was coming back to America and he came to the conclusion that he needed to step down. He realized he was not in a good place mentally to take on running a league, after everything that has happened. Self-care comes first and we at RGL all sending him some positive thoughts his way.

With that, we needed to find a new head admin to take over. One concern that people had was over the experience level of Yari and while we had the utmost confidence in Yari. Because we firmly believe that good admining comes from someone’s personality and passion, not their ability to hit meatshots. However, we decided to hear players concerns and aim to get a player who’s been around for a while, passionate about sixes and plays in Invite. The player we’ve decided to go with has been playing in ESEA for over 10 seasons, with the last season being his fourth inside Invite. He’s been involved in RGL leagues as a player since the beginning and is very passionate about the sixes format: Daffodil.

New Admin

We’ve also expanded our admin team by one, and we’ve added Pablo, the medic from the Invite team Dunk Masters, and we are looking forward to what he can bring to the admin team.

RGL Production Team

Finally, though our admin staff appears to be set for the first season, we are continuing to look to expand our production team. We are looking for current or former players to help bring some experience to the RGL sixes production team.

The first additions to our team are Marmaloo, Shamoo and Sandblast who will help with casting some matches when they are not busy with their own. If you’re interested in helping out please contact @sigafoo#0685 through discord or steam.

#20 RGL unveils Traditional Sixes League details in News

Alright, it's been a long day of writing and working with our awesome admin team. We've made several changes to the upcoming season.

You can read about all of them and take the survey @ http://sixes.rgl.gg/Public/Articles/Default.aspx?a=1250

Notable things that are changing

Match times:
Default times are moved to 10:30 for IM/Main/Advance/Invite,
Open moved to 9:30.

We will use the survey to confirm moving these times are correct.

Whitelist

The survey will collect opinions on which whitelist to use and weapon bans, which will determine the whitelist used for S1. Either a possible modified ESEA or the global whitelist.

Maps

Removed Kalinka, Whether or not we use clearcut or another map in its place will be decided by the survey.

Midseason Anti-Poaching (Invite only rule)

This rule is being suspended indefinitely for 6s.

----

There is more in the article where we help to clear up some of the concerns and explain ourselves better on topics from the initial article. We also talk about our some new production talent and our admin team.

#12 On NATF2's Future in TF2 General Discussion

#13 RGL unveils Traditional Sixes League details in News
sigafooWe also will be releasing a statement tomorrow night with some revisions and changes we're making for the first season after reading through feedback.

Just an update on this, we are currently mid-way through the article where we will be addressing concerns and changes we'll be making. We also have the survey done that we'll be releasing at the same time to get feedback from the sixes player base to help inform us on what direction people want to go with things like the whitelist, maps, and other stuff.

It'll probably be around 10 pm Eastern after I have a meeting with another Invite leader, just in case that meeting brings anything to light that we should change.

#2 RGL unveils Traditional Sixes League details in News

Here is the quote that was requested by TF.TV but not used in the article about what RGL can and plans to bring for the sixes league, namely growth, community-based admining and ultimately success.

RGLIn less than two years we went from the smallest league to the largest league in NA and that wasn't by accident. RGL is about one thing, community-based admining. We listen to our community and adjust based on feedback. We're not afraid to try new ideas for a season or a cup, but if it doesn't work? We don't continue it, we change, pivot and we grow.

Our Prolander league grew by about 35% from Season 5 to Season 6. Our Highlander format has grown every season, and our current season is up almost 30% compared to last season. Our No Restriction Sixes league was the largest single Sixes league in NA last spring, with 17 teams made up new to comp players.

These things don't happen by chance. People continue to come back to our leagues because of the quality, thoughtfulness and care that we put into them. We are very excited to bring sixes into our line-up as we believe our already large playerbase can give sixes a new rush of players to join in. And we are looking forward to making this format as successful as our other formats have been and continue to bring growth to competitive TF2.

We also will be releasing a statement tomorrow night with some revisions and changes we're making for the first season after reading through feedback.

#145 Announcing RGL.gg Sixes - Season 1 in TF2 General Discussion
corsaDaffodil-Just for the record, sigafoo also attempted to get a representative from the paddie/corsa team as well.
as far as i know, neither of us were contacted

I didn't contact every team in Invite, as generally more voices don't always make the decisions better. Often too many voices can stifle decisions because too many people trying to express an opinion. "Too many cooks in a kitchen."

I contacted the leaders that I've already worked with in the past to some degree. Which was b4nny and Lucrative.

Daf is a long time player in RGL and ESEA and I've had conversations with him in the past about various TF2 things. So I added him.

Then I wanted three more leaders to balance out that. I basically just went top down on rankings from ESEA Invite. I saw Ascent, so I reached out to Ma3la. Reached out to ford gaming which directed me to Sandblast. I reached out to Garbuglio (cafe monsters), who declined taking part in it. So then I added Space Pirates, who directed me to Shamoo.

Pretty straight forward, used the contacts I already knew and reached out to ones I didn't to fill in the gaps.
