#8 SSD Question in Hardware
dyzMerchant1. If you are installing it for the first time it is the same as normal. I made sure to unplug my other HDD though just to make sure it used the right drive. Otherwise I'm not sure how you might move it.
So I should just install it on there with the HDD unplugged then plug the HDD in after im done installing OS?

Not necessarily. During the windows setup it shows you which drives are available and you'll have to choose the one you'd like to install it to. Granted, you have options to remove or format entire partitions, but if you pay a little attention it's actually pretty difficult to do something wrong.

I guess it's not your first time installing windows? If not, there is nothing to fear. :)

EDIT: Even if it's your first time, just follow the instructions and you're fine.

#14 Team Immunity vs Kuso Scout , Want to see a match? in TF2 General Discussion
SalamancerI hear the Swiss have a lot of neutral servers.

Confirmed.

Source: I'm swiss

All jokes aside, whilst I would like to see something like this, it will most likely be decided by the server it's played on. Similiar to the showmatches between NA and EU.

#5 PDF Annotator in Off Topic

I use PDF X-Change Viewer.

Download

I don't know if that download hoster is any good but it's the only one I was able to find that has an english download. :O

Or try it from here: click

It should have the english installation files too.

#23 another support event for ghos7 in TF2 General Discussion

I have a spare copy of Bastion (that I have no use for) that I can give you, to give away during the stream.

I am an euro, so I dunno if I can catch you before the stream goes live. Shoot me an add if you want the copy. (Will be back home in about 3hrs~)

Thanks and nice effort.

EDIT: Wasn't able to reach you. You probably where afk during the time I sent you a FR. Good luck have fun in your event tomorrow nontheless. :)

#12 Mousepad, help me choose one. in Hardware

I can vouch for the QcK Heavy aswell. I use roughly 30cm/360 if that matters. I just clean it like every 2 months with water and soap. Let it dry and it's as good as new.

DT880 Pros actually

randomirishlad@Profix how much did that setup cost

Hard to say. I didn't get it all in one go. 4k in total if you add all the prices up at the point i bought the parts maybe.

#3 Issues with streaming in TF2 General Discussion

Cool. I've seen the topic from Lange which basically showed that there would be no difference. But will try it later today and report back. Thanks for your input Derpy!

#1 Issues with streaming in TF2 General Discussion

Hello guys

I used to stream TF2 without any noticeable lag/stutters before I stopped streaming for a while. Yesterday I started OBS again, updated it and tried playing a few jump maps and MGE. It was like night and day. So much jittering which severly affected my aim. I can not figure out what it is. Are my old settings not optimal anymore? Anyway, I'm just gonna list all my hardware, settings and stuff.

The ingame frame rate stays constantly at 264. But it feels like it constantly drops down to 50 or something. Which gives me a huge headache. :D

The only hardware difference is that I upgraded the graphics card.

Hardware:
i7-3930K (Currently at stock clocks. Will overclock sooner or later)
ASUS Sabertooth X79
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR-1600
ASUS GTX780
SAMSUNG 830 512GB SSD

Upload speed: 2mbps

OBS Settings:
Encoding
- Video Quality: 8
- Bitrate: 1700
- Audio Settings: AAC / 128

Video
- Resolution: 1920x1080
- Resolution Downscale: 1.50 (1280x720)
- FPS: 30
- Aero is not disabled, I've read somewhere there is basically no difference

Audio
I don't think audio setting make any difference

Advanced
- Multithreading Optimizations: Ticked
- Process Priority: Above normal / higher (Can't recall the exact name)
- x264 Preset: veryfast
- Rest is default

I appreciate any input! If you need to know anything else, let me know!

Thanks
