I'd be an idiot if I picked against lonely hearts again but I think Lockdown could at least give them a good game. Flash Sharks vs. Oh Boy could be decent depending on the lineup Oh Boy rolls out. I don't see QF/all in, Buds/Remains, or Meat/iNg being that close, which probably means that they're all gonna be 5-4 nailbiters.

Gonna guess the week of 1/6. It's usually a break of a couple weeks so I assume they'll just wait until after the holidays like they did after week 1 of season 13.

Btw, I'm predicting 5-2 UP tonight. Neither team has been scrimming much (fuck you UP) so I'm gonna go with the team that has a more impressive resume to this point. Even though UP has very little to play for, I think their DM and overall cohesion will carry them to this one.

Yeah, sucks that scheduling worked out like it did. I'm pretty sure there's a week 9 match in IM as well. Not sure about Main, but it's not typical for open to have this sort of scheduling quirk.

These are not set in stone (there is still a regular season match to be played), and Fedora Flippers has been marked dead so they won't be a part of playoffs, but I do agree with you that there will be some great early-round games.

It's been top 16 for as long as I can remember, so while officially there's no word, it'll almost certainly be top 16, no byes or anything silly like that.

also, the Yomies/Madboys match last night was a LOT of fun to watch, even though the golden cap round was a little underwhelming. Pretty intense stuff.

13. Besaid Aurochs/The Smouldering Remains (BA if BA wins, Remains if UP wins)

Two matches to determine seedings are possible. If UP scores 3 in a loss, they'll play Team Lockdown for the 11/12 seed. If BA scores 4 in a loss they'll play Ingenuity for the last playoff spot.

Everyone mentioned is safe for playoffs except Besaid Aurochs (needs a win or 4 points in a loss to stay alive) and Ingenuity (needs a UP win to stay alive)

I mentioned before that throwing the match was a possibility for UP, but that's pretty much out the window, as the possible first round matchups of AG or Lonely Hearts aren't any better than the matchup against Medical Geniuses that UP would get if they win.

PS, Flash Sharks gets the 3 seed over Budsquad by virtue of their head to head win, even though the RF is in Budsquad's favor. I don't think that the head to head tiebreaker applies anywhere else because every other team shares a record with more than one team, so RF will be the decider in all 12-4/11-5/10-6 cases.
