a post of mine, copied and pasted here for discussion purposes, as well as in case it gets removed:
mustardoverlord;64095because this is the league suggestions board, here's a series of actual CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM for the admins, so as to legitimately improve the league:
1. admins need to stop wearing so many hats. league admins, forum admins, AND ANTI-CHEAT ADMINS should all be ENTIRELY separate, and head admins, while overseeing all 3, should actively participate in AT MOST the league functions, not the forum OR anti-cheat functions. all of this creates massive conflicts of interest all the time, as well as ambiguity for who is to blame when, say, a thread gets deleted.
2. more transparency. please start by: a. making it publically available who locked/deleted any given thread; b. revealing all the members of the ugc anti-cheat team, if not their actual evidence; c. not locking/deleting relevant threads in the first place.
3. more diversity in admin experience. so many of the admins are from the same group of people who have been running ugc since the beginning. for a community league of this size, that's simply unacceptable. bring in people from different backgrounds who aren't predisposed to agree with the pre-existing admins.
4. release some sort of statement on the marisa incident. when etf2l found that their ban of beavern was on shaky grounds and that their anti-cheat admin team was full of people who weren't super qualified to be there, as well as kind of hivemind-ish, they replaced the entire ac team and released a statement apologizing to beavern and condemning the old team.
5. for christ sakes, if you want people to be satisfied with your decisions, stop making offhand remarks that do exactly the opposite of your goal. it's exactly the same as how, while admins were discussing how their new maplist and map choosing system would be so much better than this season's, they continued to passive aggressively defend the very maps they were assuring the community they would replace ("haunt is a great map and you just don't UNDERSTAND it!"). in the same way, while all the admins here keep saying they cannot make a decision because fornaught is away, they also keep hinting that moose will just voluntarily take time off or that he can explain his way out of a ban. just say something like "by default, we will ban anyone with a vac ban unless the ban is reversed or we have concrete proof the ban was a mistake. however, we are waiting on fornaught to finalize the ban"
...or is that not accurate, because it's completely discretionary, and you have no plans to ban moose?
6. treat admins like everyone else. even beyond the punishment for moose, it's very apparent that threads/posts have been deleted because they hurt an admin's feelings. I've never seen that happen for others, especially when the admin him or herself was the one who said it.
7. infinite needs to formally apologize to marisa for his blatant transphobia, which violates league and forum guidelines
8. please don't start talking about "armchair admins" in a thread in the league suggestions forum, where being an "armchair admin" is, well, the point
I look forward to seeing these changes enacted swiftly, and to great popular support, just like all of my other ideas that ugc ended up backing (e.g. removing the invite limit)
let me and hildreth in a call with the admins

please share your thoughts about needless thread locking/deletion here
good god wills I hate to say it but that was probably the most passive aggressive way you could possibly respond to spamfest's post
its so fun when the admins play dumb to get away with shit
like taking downpour's thread so literally that as soon as an admin shows up and says "yeah, we know about it" the discussion is over
plus the fact that they decided to lock it rather than delete it to save face
how fun
really nitpicky mistake: "Mixup saw mesr depart, which allowed harbleu to shift to roamer and his former x6 pocket TLR to roll on in to take up the charge of replacing Platinum's superb pocket play."
I think you mean harbleu shifted to medic
holy shit runtime with autism
I remember that dude
I have a bunch on my external hd, ill take a look later
I 125 dmg killed meb with 1 sticky in a scrim once
I felt bad
djcare we even going to have 6-7 living invite teams? everything i hear about next season's lineups is that FT, CC, XEN are done so we'd be sitting on 4 survivors in bp, mix, ag, vector. throw in Mad Men, that xalox/anonemouse team, the hypothetical br0 reform, we're at 7, and then pull up dun's team if they come back with their predicted new roster, i guess you're moving up r5, the ducks, and ostrich poachers to hit 11, and then we're looking at big mangachu's squad in invite for the 12th spot.
