am I the only one who thinks every poll is completely rushed?

like for map polls, rather than killing or kalkin or w/e announcing the new choices on tf.tv (or even before we vote out a map lol), and letting a discussion/playtest happen, as soon as a map is voted out a poll with the new maps is put up, and voting immediately begins, meaning that the people who are already informed about the maps are usually in the minority

it's the same thing here, these polls were posted probably 15 minutes after the last one of these teams solidified its roster

yeah a single elim tourney or at least a match between the clear top 2 in votes (chill to good and ricks team) is possible, but how many votes are left to squeeze out of people? considering that the people who literally bought premium just to vote already have, how many people will really be influenced to vote for the winning team who haven't voted already?

I'm not an expert on contract law or anything but I'm like 95% sure that you can't get away with doing something this blatantly illegal just because you snuck in an extremely cryptic message in the ToS

its pretty hard to judge the relative skill of chill 2 good and ricks team unless they scrim each other

the map is snakewater, dun must've been like aggressively building during every stalemate while r5 built with a scout

also as rando said it doesnt count buffs, and duns team kinda just baits him so he prolly takes most of the damage for their team

idk how the huge heal gap happened tho

I mean, it's also possible for the two teams to set up an unofficial match themselves to try to convince people to vote for the winner, that's what the old LG and Mad Men did a few seasons ago

as for the others:

solace is below those 5 but better than a lot of the other teams, ft is around the same as solace (better because solace lost anonemouse, but not by a huge amount)

vector is around the level of the moved up team (most likely chill 2 good at this point)

r5 no fucking idea

(EDIT: based on logs right now it would seem it goes ft > solace > r5 > chill 2 good > vector but it's all subject to change)

4 lan spots will be intense this season

it's most likely that mix^, hrg and chess club are gonna be top 3, and that mad men and AG will be fighting over the last spot

HOWEVER

mad men and AG are a lot better than some people might suspect, and it's possible both of them will upset one of the top 3 teams and make lan
