#24 ESEA IM S18 Mid Season Wrap-Up in News

my opinion:

Yeegz and Cheesy are better as a scout combo, Highfive and yomps are better individually. Highfive is the best scout out of the 4 on an individual level.

Ranga is better than Purpleshirt, but hooli is worse if he's playing l0l

broKing is better than goldfish from a teamplay standpoint because he takes fewer heals but goldfish has better DM

Soapy is slightly better than jodd but not by much

desca is better than Jarrett (apparently I'm the only one who thinks so h3h)

overall Meat Market has the potential to play tf2 in a more correct way, but cafe monster AT THE MOMENT play more on the same page

and all of this is almost completely irrelevant when compared to results: cafe regularly beats invite teams, Meat Market does not, cafe has a much more consistent track record against other IM teams except on viaduct which their playstyle really isn't suited for

TheFragilemustardoverlordwhat if I don't think tagg's analysis is very good? i dont give a fuck if you dont agree, its nowhere close to, say, b4nny's analysis
I said that in more of a sense that people would take tagg's word over your word. No need to get all hostile over me disagreeing with you.

There's always option 3, people don't take tagg's word or my word but rather, use their own critical thinking skills to come to a conclusion independent of analysts.

dummyi mean there are a lot of factors that go into them being 3-1 and just saying "he was pyro and they were winning" doesnt mean anything, if anyhting that could be indicative of sub par soldier play the 2nd half. Meanwhile ash was runnin a train on dat ass all gameKnuckles_I just feel bad for decimate. At one point ma3la was on pyro playing near the combo, alfa was running shotgun and taking a lot of the ubers, shrugger plays a pretty heal heavy scout, and bdonski was.. Honestly I don't know but still. Decimate was the only one ACTUALLY pushing the flank

these two points combined sum up my feelings.

when I was watching the game, it was clear that almost everyone on elevate was outplaying their counterpart on street hoops pretty hard in the first half. in particular, decimate and shrugger were winning every scrappy team fight with tons of cleanup kills. however, there were tons of situations that elevate should've rolled to like last where the pyro totally killed their momentum and they ended up just trading mid over and over again because they didnt have enough dps and chasing potential to push their advantages. they ended up winning the half 3-1, but rather than doing so fast and dominantly, which they should have given how they were playing individually, it took a fucking year. in the second half street hoops got their shit together and elevate was cooled off because they didnt get to carry their momentum.

on top of all that, the heal spread was fucking ridiculous. ma3la got more heals than his demo and either of his scouts by far, meanwhile alfa got like 1000 less than grape. given that most of these people were still with the combo it just meant a lot of sitting around and not doing anything rather than flank plays. compare that to ash, who took almost no heals (which he always does well) and yet outdamaged ma3la by a mile.

to be fair ma3la hogs heals on soldier too, either that or alfa just dies a lot idk, but something aint right there

if bdonski isnt getting to +forward with 260 elevate will prolly not beat good teams

TheFragilemustardoverlordmustardoverlorddid tagg really just say that ma3la on pyro was the reason elevate was winning at first l0l
to clarify, ma3la on full time pyro completely fucked his team over

Don't think you if Tagg had that kind of analysis, he would have a legitimate reason? Like, maybe he was actually right?

what if I don't think tagg's analysis is very good? i dont give a fuck if you dont agree, its nowhere close to, say, b4nny's analysis

#95 axiomatic returns in TF2 General Discussion

wait, are you guys defending Axio's crazy accusations on the basis that he correctly pointed out something that was objectively true (that an admin had a big fat VAC BAN on his profile), therefore we should lend more credence to his crazy conspiracy theories???

that's like if I said "the War of 1812 happened in 1812, therefore 9/11 was an inside job". just because I knew an objectively verifiable piece of information, doesn't mean my crazy predictions will come true.
