Ninlopthe reason i put things such as -nod3d9ex -nojoy into launch options is because AFAIK it means its another process running within tf2 the fps increase wont be drastic but present, i have ordered new pc parts cos my pc blew up xd but when i get that i will do benchmarks with various settings so we can figure out what parts make a difference and what parts don't, this initially back in 2016 was intended for people who wanted literally the highest frame rates possible which is why there are settings which make minimal improvements, because at the end of the day its still an improvement, thankyou fro contributing to this thread like i said ill do a set of bench marks so we can figure out what makes a difference and what doesnt.
Don't use -nod3d9ex. It only increases FPS if your card or drivers are broken with Direct3D 9EX. It improves performance otherwise by using more efficient window display techniques.
sendglad you made another fps guide we really needed more
Yes we did. There are a lot of improvements that can be made on top of already popular FPS configs, especially now that Comanglia is discontinuing his.
sageedit: also -high in launch options can cause input lag AFAIK although it could be good if you are DESPERATE for FPS in a laptop or something (gives high priority to hl2.exe)
-high does not cause input lag unless you have broken input drivers somehow. High does not prevent OS level tasks from running, they still take priority.
