#15 PSA: Steampipe in TF2 General Discussion

You might want to back up any demos you plan on using in the future. My only guess is they'll be wiped too. And back up p-rec.

And you guys are correct. I wasn't aware this was a feature. Thanks for the heads up.

#2 April 23rd update. in TF2 General Discussion

The viewmodel_fov_demo command only affects viewmodels within demos. That might sound obvious but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the FOV change ability OpenPlugin gives you. If I'm wrong, then please correct me.

Before this update, you could increase your viewmodel_fov_demo only so much, but now it's unlimited as it is outside of demos.

crespiWell to add to #6, I have TEN gbs of maps, and 30 gb of space left on my hard drive (don't make fun of me) so I don't really want to backup 10gb of maps haha.

How can you live with only 30GB left?

LuckyLukeLol. Can I have POV demo, tick and the commentary?

Let's make this a MoG.

I think you have the next 200 MoGs ready after LAN.

#8 What do you like/dislike about cp_granary? in Map Discussion

I'm not really a fan of the mid with scout. With soldier/demo/medic, I have no complaints about the mid. Then there's the potential stalemates that occur more often than anyone would like. People might not like it (I don't know), but the pro version of Granary with the opened choke looks like it would be a whole lot more effective than the window. The window helped but not to the extent that I feel the opened choke would. Last point is a pretty good last point IMO.

#8 Soldier Fast Rollouts in TF2 General Discussion

You can get to mid pretty quick on Snakewater but it's kind of pointless since it really only works if demo goes window. Badlands fast rollout is kind of pointless too. There's one on Warmfront but we don't play that. I think Process/Granary/Gullywash are the only maps with good enough fast rollouts.

#4 tf2 fps in Hardware

Are you sure you really wanna play this game with 50-60 FPS? Even with a 60hz, 60 FPS is still a pain to look at.

TheManWithNoNamegeneral question: how difficult is it to create a map in TF2?

learning how to use Hammer is pretty simple, though being good with it takes practice as do most things. the bigger problem is being able to figure out how you can make a map that will win over the majority of the players. you could always make a thread asking what makes a comp. map good/balanced, or read the one that someone made recently http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7385-what-makes-a-good-comp-map

#6 So wait in TF2 General Discussion

I probably should have just taken the screenshot but whatever. It's what he said. Dunno if he's actually going to.

When he was in the DM server he DM was still pretty good but that doesn't really say much about his game sense. I'm sure he's not stupid obviously, so it wouldn't take too long to get caught up.

#5 REQUEST: Older Invite Demos (pre-S12) in TF2 General Discussion

I think REALLY old demos don't work now that I think about it. Remember when demos stopped working for a while recently? That happened twice beforehand and after they fixed it either the first or second time, only recent and future demos would work. I could be wrong
